OMT: Mighty Tottenham Hotspurs vs Brentford - Sat, 21 Sept, 3pm

A good performance with real desire to cut them apart, go forwards quickly and get shots off.
Great stats for our 'massive penetration' in the first half.

Interesting to me that Porro was not a standout, he's usually our best or second best player, but today I hardly saw him.

Leicester won the title letting the opposition have the ball.
Fergie's Man Utd teams were always ones that ripped you apart on the counter. Some of it was winning the ball up high but most of it was stuff like Beckham or Scholes pinging a ball out to Giggs or Cole from the edge of their box. You were probably at your most vulnerable against them when you had a corner!

Congratulations to the team. Vicario needs to stop trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Son - we need a replacement.

Chelsea have done it for 20 years. But we all saw under Nu-Mour-Conts that it wont work/be tolerated by us. The Blanchflower quote about waiting to die of boredom is too engrained in our fundamental psyche.

Not convinced at all that this it true. As most good teams do (which Chelsea were when they won the PL) they won most games by dominating their opponent but could also win games by playing purely on the counter attack which they would do in away games against the bigger teams.

Real Madrid’s performance against Emirates Marketing Project in the CL last year is a great example of that.

If you win… no one cares
It’s that simple

A mostly enjoyable watch. I remember when Guardiola, Klopp and Arteta's teams were starting out they'd have spells of irresistable pressing and we had that in the first quarter of the game. Sad to see Johnson doing the shushing after his goal. Maddison was on top form today, Solanke promising though his touch went in and out. Didn't realise dribbling was part of his arsenal.
Wash your mouth out! :sunglasses:

What was great today was the variety
Some long and short play
Some quick passing
Some players keeping the ball
Some great tackling too
Get the left operating like right and we will step up
Maddison did everything he could to do that today
