I agree with that. Does seem likely. It is a worry that they won't be happy about a deadline day deal unless they have someone like Bastos lined up, but I'm going to assume that they're not incompetent and that they are making arrangements.

In fact, from what I can gather, it was them who first invited us to make a bid to sign him now.

Absolutely.

Was trying to explain it yesterday but others seemed convinced that Schalke have no reason to sell now and therefore hold all the aces.
