If that is correct, it doesn;t exactly fill me with optimism that we will get the next appointment right...

Blanc hasn't exactly done brilliantly since. And the same question mark persists over Martinez - i.e. how his defences start falling apart during his second season and beyond.

After taking last season off, just the three trophies this season.

i'm not sold on poch - not yet anyway. he plays a good brand of football but has no experience in europe or managing real talents. an upgrade from sherwood for sure, but i'm not sure how he'll cope with the pressure of two games a week, and a bunch of internationals who need coaxing to sit on the bench. one things for sure, he can speak english: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAieod4JpnY

i think fdb or klopp are the ones for us. both of whom i'd think would be able to give us a fast start and the new footballing ethos on and off the pitch that we crave for.

Oh Klopp might well be the one for us, unfortunately we aren't the team for Klopp...

Which means nothing if possession is not turned in to goals. How many times have we had 60-65% of the possession and lost.

We are talking about the competence of the manager and his possible suitability as our future coach; his team has taken Utd apart yet suffered a goal from a free kick well against the run of play. And you use that to highlight exactly what?? That he's unlucky???

What argument is that

What argument is that

His team have taken United apart???

Then why isn't it 3-0 or 4-0??

As for his competence or suitability I haven't said a word so there is no argument.

Lets face it, Southampton are not Spurs and no matter how well their young players have done we are a far superior team. If he can do well with a small team like Southampton then he should be given the chance to do well at a bigger club. Martinez hardly ripped the premier league to pieces with Wigan and was constantly in a relegation battle.
