There just is nothing about him that says yes to me. If others are unavailable than David pleat it it.
I agree, I though AVB would get us there in time.

We are not in a position where we will be able to appoint a manager who isn't a gamble. What do you need to see for a manager to say yes to you?

Sorry mate - WALOB! that is pure cr**

Ajax not having better players than Volendam, Venlo or Den Haag? Or even Feyenoord or PSV? On which football planet are you living on?

And if FDB's management has made such a difference (as Fergie did with Aberdeen those decades ago) then the sum should be greater than the collection of the parts... so, what has the great FDB achieved in Europe in these past 4 years? Answers on a postage stamp accepted...

Im on the planet where Ajax didn't win the league for a long time until FDB. I am on the planet where Ajax constantly sell their best players. I am on the planet where Ajax have NEVER won the league 4 times in a row until FDB.
Its also called planet Earth

And what exactly do you base this on? I would really love to know as I hear this a lot and noone seems to be able to answer my question.

A customer came into my shop and wanted £300 on Michael Laudrup as our next manager. Betting was suspended at the time.

I hate this whole "lol he can do it in the Dutch league" bull****.

Then again, probably the same macarons that would have dismissed suarez because he could score 40 league goals against the likes of volendam

Well Suarez's record against decent teams is still pretty poor.

I'd be pretty worried if we appointed him. He was rumoured to have behaved pretty unprofessionally towards the end at Swansea.

I'm sorry but you're not really taking time to understand what veron said.

1. 7 years without a title.... then 4 in a row. That says quite a bit no matter what the league.

2. Look at some of the players PSV has sold in the last year... Strootman (Roma for 16m), Mertens (Napoli 9.5m), Lens (Kyiv for 9m). Compare that to Ajax in the last 2 years... Eriksen (13m), Alderweireld (Atletico for 7m), Vertonghen (12m), Anita (Saudi Sportswashing Machine for 8m), Van der Weil (Paris for 6m). It's not like Ajax has stars that are way above and beyond the competition. They all have one or two players each year that could be sold for around the 10m mark and not much else. You come off like they're a team of Galacticos

3. Why are you comparing FDB to one of the best managers of this generation? We know he's not got the players of the same quality as the other teams in Europe so why would you expect his teams to perform as such? You wouldn't expect any team from Russia, Ukraine, or Belgium (all leagues with about the same coefficient) to consistently have a win percentage above 30% so why do you think Ajax should (FDB does by the way)? It's not really that solid of an argument you're making.

4. Quite simply look at what he's done with the time he's had in the position. There's not much bad you can pick out when the playing field is close to equal. He's proven as much as possible in the time allowed that he's a winner, he plays with the style that we Spurs fans would all enjoy, and he knows how to work with the youth set-up which would be extremely beneficial even if that meant just one or two new faces from the youth academy each year. Add on top of that the fact that we have quite a few players who would work well in his system and a few he's already worked with, and I think it makes a lot of sense.

Not sure if the questions been asked amongst all the "sh1t we've loft fdb to arsenal" posts, but why the f@ck would wenger want to swap arsenal for Wolfsburg?!?!?
