Next Manager?

We need someone in the team the other players fear. A keane. Someone the other players think he's on our side so i'm not scared of the opposition, but i better do well or he'll eat me.

Yep, leadership on the pitch is a big issue. Hugo spoke brilliantly after the Zagreb debacle but he doesn’t seem to have enough influence. Dembele and Vertonghen are badly missed in more ways than one.

Not really talking leaders. I'm talking nutter. Someone you'd move tables to be away from in a pub. Not someone that can give a motivational speech, but someone the other players are terrified of tinkling off by not pulling their weight.

Unfortunately, you can't have players like that anymore. You can't live in an age of PR, inclusivity and political correctness and, at the same, have individuals who behave like that. Twenty years ago, you had people like Stan Collymore hitting people with a barstool, Big Dunc Ferguson, Keane, Vinnie Jones, Gazza... What's the biggest offence committed by a football player this last decade? You have Metzelder who traded child porn pictures on the Internet but apart from that? A few young French players had their career ruined because they went to night-club the night before a France U-21 game. Wow! That's what I call living the thug life!

Just think about how people reacted to a couple of players breaking the lockdown and now, try to imagine how these people would react to the kind of player you described if he weren't playing in their own team. Doesn't look too good, does it?

I'll be really disappointed if it's Potter coming in. We'll play 'pretty' but ineffective football and continue for years not challenging for anything.

All depends which strikers we buy to replace Son and Kane

All true. But we still need one.

Rangnack with Lopetegui is my preference at the moment, but I'd be happy with any of potter, inzaghi or gallardo as coach too

Lopetegui has barely been mentioned has he? Doesnt rule him out....but Levy hasnt often gone for managers who haven't managed in the PL before. Those which he has:

- Gross: abject failure
- Ramos: failed
- santini: quit early
- Jol: success

Doesnt convince me that he'll go for someone who is new to the PL
