Marseille striker Loic Remy has revealed that he is staying in France until at least the end of the season, despite interest from Tottenham.

ÔÇó Redknapp keen on Remy

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp revealed his desire to sign the 25-year-old in a reported Ôé¼15 million deal last week and travelled to watch Remy score both goals in a 2-0 win over Lille this weekend. However, the striker revealed he would not be moving anywhere.

"I'm staying," he told Canal+. "I will 100% stay at Marseille until the end of the season and even the end of my contract.

"I have spoken with the president and the staff. And it would not be right for me to leave this club. We'll see next summer but that's not even in my head for now."

OM boss Didier Deschamps also said after the game that Spurs were wasting their time.

"I knew Redknapp was here [watching the game]," said Deschamps. "He came to see some players, but he came for nothing. There was no point. 'Wait and see' is what I'd tell him if I saw him.

"They have important economic power, but I have important matches to play. This is not the moment to lose our best players."

yep was pretty obvious tbf.

If everyone is not careful Saudi Sportswashing Machine will soon start to mount a very real threat. They seem to move for players others are not willing to gamble on.

They've gone from having the worst transfer policies to one of the best transfer ploicies in the whole league. Ba, Ben Arfa, Tiote and Cabaye cost less then 15m combined ffs.

Anyway SSN now saying Cisse is either in England now or flying to England to complete deal.

rumours are that Saudi Sportswashing Machine are after Aly Cissokho from Lyon.......would be another good signing

Saudi Sportswashing Machine have become very shrewd operators in the transfer market

it could be that Patinkle Cisse is the long term replacement for Demba Ba who of course could leave for a knockdown fee because of the buyout clause which has got the likes of redknapp all excited

Patinkle Cisse signing confirmed by Saudi Sportswashing Machine

Interesting signing out of the blue - would love Spurs to do that :)

Saudi Sportswashing Machine have finalised a ?ú10million deal for Senegal international Patinkle Cisse on a five-and-a-half-year contract.

The 26-year-old striker was spotted arriving at the Magpies' training ground on Tuesday to put the finishing touches to a switch from German outfit Freiburg.

Alan Pardew was expected to dip into the transfer market during the winter window, but a central defender was thought to be top of his wish list.

He has, however, opted to bolster his strike force with the capture of Cisse.

The Magpies have benefited greatly from their summer acquisition of Demba Ba and feel that pairing him with his international colleague can further enhance their top-four credentials.

Partnership

They will, of course, have to wait to see that partnership in action, with both men readying themselves for African Cup of Nations duty.

Upon completing talks with Saudi Sportswashing Machine, Cisse was whisked away and jetted back to Africa to re-join the Senegal squad.

Pardew is happy to wait, though, as he has acquired the services of a man who has become one of the Bundesliga's top marksmen in recent years.

He netted 22 times last season and has already scored nine goals this term.

Two things:

- presumably if Bassong is off to PSG then we've got a CB lined up?
- if Poocastle are signing Cisse then is Ba on his way?

I would imagine we must have someone lined up as a replacement if that means Bassong is off. Maybe Samba if PSG, and Alex to QPR (assuming Blackburn will sell)? Lorente linked again on a few twitter posts, never seen enough of him to draw a firm conclusion but do know he wouldn't come cheap. Any other rumours floating about?
