Harry Kane MBE

I think you've nailed it. Generational and probably have a good laugh together for England, but I think Vardy is a chavvy little tosspot!

I am not commenting as to whether or not Vardy is a chavvy little tosspot :D but if it is okay Kane to start it then it is okay for Vardy to make a dig back.

Vardy wears a blue plaster cast / strapping / bandage on his right wrist in every game... I saw his arm without it the other day, it was very thin and withered, perhaps even under developed... I'm surprised to hear he was acting violently in the recent past, given his Beadle arm.

Some say his rooster is massive. But on the other hand...

One significant difference is that Kane more often has to break down teams with ten men behind the ball whereas owing to Leicester's counter-attacking set-up Vardy will more often have fewer defenders to overcome and more space within which to line up his shots.

Not taking anythng away from Vardy's outstanding record mind, he still has to shoot straight and maybe this is a more difficult skill when attacking at speed.

But if Mahrez leaves in the summer he could find his line of supply is much less prolific.

One swallow does not a spring make. Vardy is vastly more experienced than Kane but does not have a scoring record to back it up looking back over his career.

Kane's last 4 seasons 0/6 , 4/19 , 31/51 and so far this season 28/48 totaling 63 in 124 games
Vardy's last 4 seasons 5/29 ,16/41, 5/36 and so far this season 22/36 totalling 48 in 142 games - The first two seasons there being in the Championship.

When you throw in age and experience in to it at the age of 19 Kane was knocking in 9 goals in 27 games for Milwall in the Championship and Vardy was making medical splints, tagged and under curfew.

All very fair points, nevertheless it seems churlish to suggest Vardy has been anything less than outstanding THIS season. His contributions have been vital in helpeing a highly unfancied team become champions of the PL. Credit where it's due.

Just pointing out that his "outstanding record" belies his journeyman history, he scored a lot of goals on the back of a particular style of play, even players like Michael Ricketts had seasons where they surpassed 20 goals.

I was just about to post something similar. You could have stuck Darren Bent in front of Mahrez, Kante, et al, and he'd have banged in 20+ too. Perfect striker for that sort of system. Whereas Kane might not have done anywhere near as well.

Not that I'm putting Leicester down -- Ranieri found a system, players to make it work (or maybe the other way around), and executed it to perfection. Say what you will about negative football, dirty centre-halves, fewer games, etc. but they had a plan, stuck to it, and deserve everything they got.

The news will come as a blow for potential suitors, including Manchester United, who were strongly linked with the boyhood Tottenham fan last season.
What does that ("strongly linked") even mean? That they tried various methods of tapping up via the media?

Harry certainly deserves a greatly enhanced deal, and I have no doubt that Levy will come up with the goods.
