Fixture & Ticket News

If I get some spare time later I might do a full, comprehensive analysis: seat by seat, tier by tier, category by category. I did it a couple of years ago, albeit to arrive at the average seat cost, for White Hart Lane. Should be simple enough to resurrect that piece of work :D

If only to debunk this utter gooner nonsense, but also something for debate on our forum.

Seems alright for Lilywhite members this morning. Got chucked back to main TO screen (post line of death) twice, but I think my credit card was to blame!

Probably one of the lowest demand games, Norwich but Cat B, two consecutive home games.

Had no idea that Norwich is a Cat B game now. I can't afford to go anyway, gonna do all the cat Cs + Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham

I would bet its because the Cat B clubs bring a fair amount of support. We have to sell them the cheapest tickets so to offset this our own fans have to subsidise the loss. Plus if there are less tickets to go round, our fans would pay more.
Makes financial sense I suppose.

I was hoping Norwich would be Cat C as I can't go as much this year, so was planning to do Cat C where possible, thus keeping my LPs up.

I am doing it but fudging hell, £43 to watch Norwich.
I have decided to only do ten of the Premier League games this season & the home cup games.
Should be at least 15 games i imagine.

Although i can afford it, i am really starting to begrude spending increasingly stupid amounts of money on football.

i spent more on Spurs when I couldnt afford it, than these days when I can.

Ill do a bunch of home games and the nextgen I reckon. Plus considering a ST lower down the leagues.

Who said it was unaffordable?

£43 for the south upper for Norwich is lumpy. THFC ticket prices are amongst the highest in the Premier League.

25 games at an average of (say) £40 a match is a grand a season or £1700 pre-tax plus all the ancillary costs like travel, food & most importantly, alcohol.

For a lot of supporters that is a considerable outlay.

Just got a note from those c*nts at Sky today, telling me that they're BETTER than ever

With a P.S. at the end that the prices are going up

- Sky Entertainment (+£1.50)
- Sky Sports (+£0.50)
- Sky Sports Pack (+£1.00)
- ESPN (+£1.00)

It's £37 for Norwich...hardly unaffordable

Depends how much disposable income you have, surely?

I travel up from Southampton so that's normally £30 costs however you do it. Eating out / drinking out is more expensive than normal, but it costs me at least £70 each time.

I love going to watch my Spurs but life circumstances mean I can afford it. However, it's not the given it was five years ago and I'd understand if the bloke earning a little less than me felt hacked off to shell out for a team that probably will be Championship level at best next year.

Too right it is. Throw in £60 petrol money as well, starts to become a little frightening when you add it all up..

Booked my ticket for the Norwich game, wasn't going to be able to go initially but after dislocating my finger playing cricket at the weekend it has brought my season to an early end.

This should be renamed the ticket information thread and all info prices, etc put in here, would be a good info point

I gather the booking process for the WBA tickets was at lot easier than for the Norwich game by the lack of complaints.

Do we assume the TO got their act together, or was it due to a little less demand with it not having the 'first home game'
aura attached to it?
