Have not hated a spurs player as much as I hate Dier in a very long time.

Utter rubbish, we have had worse players but none that seem so arrogant in their belief they are a good player. I find him detestable.

He’s not arrogant at all, just not good enough to be a starting player for a team with aspirations to win things. That’s not his fault though, it’s the fault of our recruitment team.

I agree, Dier brainfart there.
He doesn't have the aggressive CB instinct to go man-on-man with the closest threat.
We will massively improve once we get a reliable, natural CB there.

Dier on the left, he's better on his weaker foot than Romero, plus you'll have Royal outside Romero able to cover for the Argentinian's inevitable marauds

A lot depends on how e have the CM working
If it’s 2 DMs you would play porro and Davies and accept that Davies will shift centrally when needed
If it’s a DM and a okay maker you have to go with royal IMO

I think our opinions are clear mate. I was specifically calling out the 'arrogant'...he is one the least arrogant professionals we have IMO.

He may not be a good player, but to say he is arrogant is complete utter gash. The simple fact is that he tries his best but he is limited.

I've watched him closely against Forest and Soton.
Honestly , there's so many faults with his game. In too tired and fed up with the whole team / club to bother listing them but he's simply nowhere near good enough.e
He doesn't have the aggression required , he doesn't engage the opposition , he's very slow with the turning circle of an oil tanker , he doesn't mark or position himself correctly. He's weak in the air for his size and height. I knew it , I've started now. I will leave it at that.
Just to say , an upgrade is essential.

Umm but I don't think we could get a big upgrade on him ( although I refuse to believe there wasn't someone a bit better out there) hence why we scrambled around desperately at the last minute getting an unwanted player from Barca on loan for nothing.

From day one I saw Lenglet as a downgrade and I said it at the time.

I think Lenglet is pretty good, especially as it is his first season in England. It usually takes overseas players a bit of time to adapt. I would rather have Lenglet in the team next season than Dier. There's not much, if anything, that Dier is better at than Lenglet.
