Davinson Sanchez

And if you were offered 60 grand a week I'm sure you'd turn around and say "Sorry, but I'm not good enough, pay me 1k a week and play me with the U23s".
He gives 100% (many didn't today and all season) and that's all you can ask of any player, if they're not good enough then it's up to the club to ensure that he isn't needed to play.

He really does not give 100%

If I were on 60 grand a week I would make damn sure that I could perform to at least a decent standard.

I agree with anyone trying hard deserves some slack but he is much better than what we have seen this season
Unfortunately he will Never be good enough but hey that’s on us for signing him

Today it didn't seem like he was even trying. Looked like he'd rather be anywhere else than out on that pitch.

Someone somewhere is no doubt going to tell me I should ‘account for the fact people are upset at the result’ etc. etc…it’s gonad*S! I despise these witch hunts. Boo at the end of the game, fine, we’re all disappointed and if that helps, whatever, fill your boots. But individual targetted agenda flimflam? Nah. People who believe in that can do one.
Agreed, players don't offer themselves contracts and they also don't plan managerial changes which then see them in and out of plans. Sanchez at times has been very dependable when in a system that is stable aka coming into a settled side for a batch of games.

One of the major issues is that, with the help from the club and their issues, the fans have even confused and muddied their own minds of things, example being that Porro was hailed thr great hope so can't be wrong for a goal, has to be Sanchez even though he was hung out to dry slightly....

Whole place is toxic and people are not aware how their own actions feed into it, as I said in the OMT, too much "I pay I have my say" regardless of how ridiculous that say is or how it manifests on match day

Doesn’t encourage other players to stay either.

They are mates, they spend their whole lives together, they will all be negatively affected by this.

Another sign of the entitlement level in the fan base, we look like missing out on CL and the place has lost its mind, what would they be doing if we were in the bottom half?

Well said mate.

If anyone on here booed him, can you please explain why or what you hoped to achieve?

Boils my tinkle seeing that happen. It never makes someone play better and probably has the rest of the squad thinking we’re a bunch of clams.

I wasnt there but I think its just that fans want to vent and what they're seeing at the club and some, not all, will vent at a poor player when he comes off, whereas some will vent at full/half time

So I dont think that, in the main, its a pre-meditated thing and aimed at him. Its just a symptom of had bad things have become at Spurs with the lack of direction, leadership, system etc

Rather than Sanchez, it could have been almost anyone - Dier, Sanchez, Perisic or many others

The club really is in meltdown at the moment and there is no-one on the footballing side with the leadership skills to grip it

Its really really sad to see

I’m betting itll never be Kane, Romero, Son or Kulu. It’s tinkle poor from our supporters. If you’re frustrated with the club, and like most I am massively frustrated, you let Levy know before the game or at the end.

spacegoating a lad like Sanchez is wrong. His mistake becoming the lightning rod for years of mismanagement and the repeated spinelessness of others is wrong. Sanchez isn’t good enough but booing him is wrong on every level.

I was at the game today. I sit in the East lower near the South Stand. It's always baffling when the booing starts because you can never quite pinpoint it exactly and most people around me are tutting and cursing the boo'ers so you wonder who's doing it. In a broad sense it seems to emanate mostly from the South Stand but that may be down to acoustics or where I am situated as the 'Levy out' and 'Poch' chants also seem to come from that area.

*apologies in advance to all non-boo'ers in the South Stand.

well romero, son and kulu have taken a bit of a beating on here at times so i wouldn't rule anything out tbh.

Regardless of whether he is not good enough, fans should never boo their own players. He may be on big money but the guy still has feelings and that today was disgusting, that is not how you treat people. I have never been so embarrassed to be a Spurs fan as i am today. No excuse what so ever. The fans that booed do not deserve to support this club.

Bang on the money. It’s easily one of the scummiest experiences I’ve had of any fan base during a game.
