Christian Eriksen

That read like gonads to me. 'Panicking' in attack? Well then City were panicking too. I re-watched the first half, and I think as soon as we scored the first goal, we stopped the relentless pressing. Perhaps poch realises we can't keep that up all game, and changes tactics when leading, rather than a 'second-half slump'?

I seem to have totally missed the "second half City onslaught".

Indeed...written by a...?

Well, if you limit Christian to be a dead-ball specialist, and you don't have the mental ability to look any further than that, I can understand why you dont rate him.

A dead ball specialist he is not. Why has he started taking corners again? Rather have Kane do it. Lamela's almost always create situations in the box and Son's aren't too bad either. Eriksen hits the first defender more often than not.

Did see him making a sliding interception on Sunday. Had to take an extra close look to confirm it was actually him.

This is "great" but it doesn't show a SINGLE leg-breaking challenge, a towering header against Huth and Morgan AND Shawcross at a corner or a nasty shove of an opponent into a poisoned rusty spike.

Back in the day, you weren't allowed in the showers if you hadn't at least garrotted someone in the center-circle before half-time. Now it's health and safety gone mad, I tells ya. :)

Used to love to see a good old fashioned "the reducer" tackle myself.

Graham Roberts was a master of that. Once after a particularly tasty game against WBA (where I think he was sent off while being stretchered off) he said: "It was a fair game. They kicked us and we kicked them'. Those were the days.

Right, knee-jerk time perhaps, but i don't think it is.

This lad has tinkled me off today beyond belief!!! We might as well have played with 10-men today, he did fudge all!! Walking around, not closing down. When the ball came near him he did his usual act of pussying out of it. Dangling a foot in and hoping for the best. When he did win the ball it was more luck than a tough tackle.
I don't care if he "isn't a tackling kind of player", it's a basic part of the game, even more so when we're playing a team who matched us for intensity.
Even Rose was caught on camera telling him to get in the and win it.

And when he did get the ball - what did he offer?? Where was the unlocking pass? Where was the creativity? No link up play (that seemed left to Dembele).
He looked totally lost out there and why Poch left him on the pitch was a mystery.

IMO the fans have been patient enough with him. Games like this are not made for him and he doesn't have a bit of impact. Poch should've left him for Anfield.
I saw the article that said he was one of the most overrated Prem players...i'm beginning, sadly, to agree with it.

He's a talented player no doubt, but right now, he's a complete passenger in a team pressing hard everywhere else!

Your bias obviously effected your watching of the game.

Eriksen made 1 interception, 1 successful tackle.

Alli, Lamela, Son, Janssen, Sissoko combined made 1 interception and 0 successful tackles.

I reckon a lot of fans like him because he reminds them of Modric scuttling around the pitch. The truth is, he is just not offering the side much at present, but in saying that he is not Robinson Crusoe.
