Andre Villas-Boas - Head Coach

Good GHod, we can look back and find other examples easily... he nearly got found out at Burnley a couple of seasons earlier in the Carling Cup semi!!!!

And again - versus the mighty Pompey in the semi

Case closed - he got lucky with some of our best players in decades (most of whom where Comolli's ffs!!!!!) and contributed himself with the likes of Nelsen, Saha, Gallas, and Parker. That's about it really.

but the stats are wrong though? they're selective stats that are factually wrong?

Capello was sacked on the 8th February.

19 points from 13 games......distorted by 10 points from 12 in the final 4 matches against utter dross competition, 2 of whom were relegated!!

So 9 points from 9 games after Capello resigned and we were still riding high with the Saudi Sportswashing Machine result.

Once Harry's attitude had transmitted to the players it was 6 points from the next 8 matches!!

Relegation form.

and embarrassed against united? we dominated the first half and they did nothing until the 46th min where they scored the most undeserved goal ever. Even the 2nd half was a 50/50 contest with them being incredibly clinical.

Was that the one where Harry decided to start smiling and joining around with his buddy Taggart before the end of the match?

Utd toyed with us that game. Deserved to win? LOL. We had one decent chance before half-time but couldn't finish off (shocker) - their superior attacking players picked us apart like schoolgirls. Condeded from a corner while our CBs looked around - then Young put some highlights for his personal collection.

What a bizarre, inaccurate and impossible statement.

in your opinion of course? a wise mod once said to me that i shouldn't pass my opinion of as fact.

How is it impossible anyway? we have eyes so we can see how we're playing and what we're creating in terms of chances.

Who fudging cares what he did with ferguson ffs. you're sounding like some love struck teenager that just had his heart stamped on.

We're talking about how we played that day not what fudging afterwards with the managers. jesus unreal.

tbh i did want Arry gone though at the end but it wasn't for footballing reasons. Just thought he took his eye of the ball and adopted a 'all or nothing' approach to certain games simply because he thought he was leaving and if it actually worked he'd have looked like a genius. Was thinking more about himself than the team so he had to go sadly.

Give me some credit here...as i fought off the continual onslaught this summer and early autumn, this is exactly what I said!!! Almost to the letter!!! I mean, I'm glad you see it, and maybe you always saw it, but instead of agreeing or saying it at the time, you had another viewpoint mate...

Ha ha, keep going keep going...BTW, dramatic prose is not your forte. Stick to criticising plainly.

yes so Capello was sacked before the Saudi Sportswashing Machine game and not after like someone was trying to say beforehand...thanks for clearing it all up mate.

Good to see many posters still feel strongly about what happened at the time and the potential threat which was posed at the time

Tottenham Hotspur FC >>>>>>>>>>>>>> any manger

A bit like Ade with his mates on sunday yet didnt affect his performance

Ha ha, hilarious, you lot will cling to any crumb won't you? Listen, your manager should NOT be laughing with the other manager on the touchline during a defeat. End of. So far as Ade, he was on the verge of getting sent off for wind ups with Zabaletta. Clearly a different code of conduct between ex-players...

Look at your post and how ridiculous it is. My post was in relation to the performance that day and you counter it with a post about Harry hugging feguson...you don't think that's ummm weird? not the least bit?

He was also on the verge of getting zabaleta sent off.

If he'd been sent off he'd have been vilified.

If zab had been sent of he'd have been recommended for a medal.

As it was no harm done.

x100. I have never seen Wenger or SAF do that after an embarassing home loss - nor do I expect AVB to ever do that. Hopefully.
