I mean...seriously that's not really an argument. How many clubs were after Eze besides ourselves and the scum?
I did not mean it as an argument in any way - just curious as to why.

The majority have similar or better players ready and he's ready been at Barca and PSG.Why weren't more clubs after him? He supposedly turned down Bayern and City? I read that somewhere. Why was Chelsea seemingly the only club after him? Where were Real, Barca, Juve, PSG and the lot for someone who is considered such a generational talent?

When he was younger, he was regularly touted as a generational talent and he was operating at that level within his generation. It is fair to say he hasn't quite realised that talent as he has aged to the level that was expected, but Spurs is perfect for that sort of thing e.g. Modric, Bale, Gary Doherty, etcDepends what you mean by "generational"?
I guess he's not seen in that very elite category of players/talents? Which I think is fair, he's not quite a generational talent.
Hahahhaa that's a throwback mate.....you were a gentYou should have had a bet with him…. You win those around here!![]()
Very well thank you… losing bets should always be honored. Trust you are keeping well too?Hahahhaa that's a throwback mate.....you were a gent
Hope all is well
Yeh all good thanks, just getting older which socks, but yeah, tremendously well thank you squireVery well thank you… losing bets should always be honored. Trust you are keeping well too?

Because of priorities and finance I imagineWhy weren't more clubs after him? He supposedly turned down Bayern and City? I read that somewhere. Why was Chelsea seemingly the only club after him? Where were Real, Barca, Juve, PSG and the lot for someone who is considered such a generational talent?
Haven’t seen much of that since Gazza.Yep, the quick double touch, that gets himself out of trouble, and sets him on his way, all in one move. Also rare to see someone dribble through the middle of defence and shoot (if only for Spurs if it's common elsewhere)?
Good to get a description rather than just a term, makes it so much clearer when we use the same words somewhat differently.A generational talent for me wins balon dors. One of the very best players of their generation.
Or that youngster Jurgen Gascoigne?Xavi Simons.....a cross between Xavi Hernandez and Kit Simons
I guess we'll be looking for a player called Iniesta Roberts next.

For me that would be a generational player. A generational talent is one that has the talent to get to those heights. I think perhaps he was at or close to that level of talent and seen as such. But as he hasn't quite exploded (yet at least) and is 22 he's not quite there now.
Might've happened even quicker if Bissouma wasn't late to training and we'd won the Super Cup tooWould this move have happened if we had not won the Europa?
