Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

It was more Lloris had fallen to such a poor level it was begining to be the case that any new keeper looked a better option than Lloris.

Pau Lopez was probably the one that got away from that period/that we should have taken our option on and moved Vorm on for. He's gone on to have a decent career at CL-level clubs.

Obviously, nobody wants to see Venom unavailable. I'm sure well have a curiosity how things would play it if he was though. My guess is Forster would be PL keeper and Austin would also get a chance in the EL.

The bigger question would be whether we would be calm with our backup keepers, or it would be another spell like Gazzaniga's when Hugo was injured.

It must be tough for Austin and Whiteman though. They've probably observed how a GK like Jordan Archer's career has gone since leaving. He was immense at Millwall, but now sits on the bench for Pompey. I think he was even without a club as a free agent for a bit as well. It's the better the devil you know vs the grass is greener argument.

We've got to clear out all 3 of Forster, Austin and Whiteman asap (two are imminently out of contract anyway).

Archer might not be a bad call to bring back - have him as #2 and promote Gunter or Keely to #3. It would be a clever move for our club trained issue.

Otherwise I'd maybe bring in Sam Tickle from Wigan as our new #2.

Not that strange. We probably found him to be too expensive and preferred to keep 3 goalies who don't get a chance and or have a 50yr old keeper who takes 3 days to dive, quite suffice. (He did however keep our goal score down in Europe)
Why did you quote 07 at the start of F's post? You may wanna remove it

Chris cowlin says Ange has fallen out with at least 4 seniors. Some say the Italian contingent along with Bent and Romero.......that came from the football insider

The source isn’t the most trustworthy
But it is possible to course
Maybe they ding like him asking then why they hate crosses coming from religious countries

Whilst this Kelleher does look to be a decent goalkeeper, I do think some are overrating him on here. Players who don't feature much often look better, and then when they are put into the cauldron of playing every week and the opposition find out all your weaknesses they don't turn out looking so good.

Kelleher has played 20 PL games in 6 seasons, barely 100 games in his professional career of which almost 50 were in the PL2 or U18 Premier League. I would say he has a way to go of convincing me he is an upgrade on Vicario.....

Shocking that Baleforce would like a post that says a Liverpool player is overrated 😂

I think he’d be an upgrade on Vicario who just makes the team nervous on set pieces.

Apparently Jack Pitt Brooke talked about the lack of consistency from our best players on a recent pod (I can't be arsed to listen to anything about that game) and how they are very aware of it within the club.

I would be shocked if they weren't aware on it and working on how to sort it out.

All 4 of whom have significant question marks over them.
Udogie - seems like he might only perform when things go his
Bent - regularly injured; actions that cause controversy and suspensions
Romero - error prone and plays too much of an individual game to a CB
Vic - the balling out of other players for minor errors and his overall histrionics are not conducive to a positive team, especially against the backdrop of his own inability to command a six yard box at corners.

All very talented footballers.
All very questionable attitudes and influences.

On the flip side in a system that offered them a respite and less last ditch defending how would they look.

There's as much significant questions about the attacking players. So are we saying the whole team needs to be ditched?

That’s the excuse that gets repeated but look at the goals we have been conceding and tell me where the what ditch effort is needed?
Stopping a cross when 8 men in your team are behind you is key
Winning a header is key
The players are in the right places but do the wrong things. That’s not the system
