Is anyone surprised?
The media have decided that ange will flop, so he will and no matter what happens they will keep telling us that's he's flopping.
MOTD was laughable, the first half was edited to make it look like utd and rashford totally ran over us.
They showed rashfords offside chances but never mentioned he was offside.

The midfield is all new
And in attack we have son who has been here the longest followed by Kulu…
I ,new the whole team is new in reality
Bissouma is a new signing and so is Sarr in reality

Hahaha I thought exactly that, no one mentioned him being offside.

I'm going to enjoy it for all it is and what it might or not be, that's the beauty of the game, its sometimes all you have. People can be a cynical or "grounded" as they like. I'm all in hahahha

As I oftened said about our defeats under Jose and content, it's the not wins, it's the manner of the wins.
Intrigued that ange tweaked his system by dropping a bit deeper and we didn't press as full on as I expected. For me we looked nervous because of the tweaks, once we settled the confidence soared and we played with a determination and swagger I've not seen for a long, long time.
Without getting carried away this looks like a new team, a new squad and almost a new club.
We've had some fantastic players that I've felt were happy to be here because they weren't pushed, no expectations to win, I don't see this in this squad.
Not saying we win the PL, but the cups and top four should be very achievable.

Even that video ignores the chance son had in the first 90 secs (except for the bizarre claim that it came from ange making adjustments because his system wasn't working, the only touch utd had was kick off and a punt!) sarrs shot on goal that onana saved and porros shot off the bar.
First half was even and could have went either way, but the signs were there that we were taking control.

Lets get to 10ish games before we start making true assessments of where this team is. We've started well and Ange's system and philosophy seem to have taken well and importantly work well but we need to see how it reacts to a variety of situations.

Well it's meant to show the repeatable wkole team movements and the differences as a system ...not just highlights.

In the end Ange was rated 7 and ETH 6 if that matters to you.

I get that, and obviously boiling a 100 min game down to 10 mins is going to lose something, but to start off with an incident so out of context undermines the rest of the video.
Imho a narrative is being painted that utd were clearly the better team in the first half, I find that difficult to swallow. They maybe shaded it, maybe, but were definitely not clearly better.

Been here too many times to get too carried away :), just enjoying the ride and hoping for the best.

I agree, also injuries, days where we aren't on it for some reason and losses, in terms of how we bounce back. Two games is nothing, I mean even Nuno had 3 wins on the bounce in the first 3 games, the first being Emirates Marketing Project at home (that is one that Pep is gagging to get)! But I think what we all like is how we react to a press and moving forward. Defence will be key.

I agree and some will see it as over the top but the fact that we've been able to turn it around so quickly is amazing.

I still think we'll finish 7th or 8th but if we do it playing the kind of football we saw in the second half against Man Utd, that will go down as a big success for me this season. This isn't a one year project...it's going to take 2, 3 or 4 years to become title contenders and even then it's unlikely to happen.

Add a cup this season and we'll be laughing.
