Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Have you factored in his personal life which can cause anyone to break down ... have you factored in the fact that he has managed teams set up to win with backing etc ... hes a fantastic coach that operates differently. A winner that has played at the very highest elite level playing under some magnificent coaches ... for you to make that assumption is very myopic due to his time and short period at a club that he was never suited to.
Contes personal life was really affecting him
His personality was affecting the team
His football was affecting the fans
It was an interesting game experiment
And a learning experience for the club
Don’t recruit a manager that thinks he is bigger than the club

Great start, but we’ve played 2 bang average teams we’ve beaten more often than not in recent years.

Bit early for the Conte bashing too, he finished 4th in season one, and had us there when he left.
Agreed
For me though look at the videos of the fans yesterday, the songs, the atmosphere
The players at the end, it's got a real feel good factor around the club again
Yesterday was the 1st game I have really enjoyed for a long time
Long may it continue

We haven’t been beating these two sides
Didn’t beat them last year
Haven’t beaten united at home since Wembley
Conte and is there
But hang the team out to dry
Good thing is that team yesterday only had 2 or 3 conte players starting

Bit early for it? It’s not like he’s coming back…

how does the club get pulled up to the next level without that attitude

we were great under Poch, but he couldn’t do it, you need someone in the organisation to have that attitude

we smashed United 6-1 not that long ago, I feel like we put 4 past Brentford recently too

arrogance, experience, that anything less than winning everything in unacceptable

no club has organically become a top team, they hired someone who dragged them there, Jose, Ferguson, Clough, Wenger, Pep at City
That has to be earned on the pitch
Walking in anywhere as billy big balls and not backing it up will make you look daft

Wait you were talking about Ange? He’s got that attitude (“arrogance, experience, that anything less than winning everything in unacceptable”)? Or Conte? If the latter, how’d it go?

Well Ange doesn’t have anything like that on his CV, he’s never managed a big club and I think he was a national team manager for a bit, before us his career trajectory was pretty flat.

I’m not having a pop at him, I think he’s great.

I’m fed up with the Conte/Jose OTT comparisons a week in. They are both great football managers who deserve more respect. Everyone fails at Spurs, Ange almost certainly will too.

Didn’t work out with either, but there were many reasons for that.

If we want to be the dominant club in football we need a dominant manager who will drag us there.

I think you need to do some research on ange
He has won everywhere he has been
It’s big his fault that clubs have only eve recruited name managers

yes he has, but he’s never managed at this level, I’m not having a pop at him, I’m a big fan so far

In the space of a few games the massive gap between the players, the manager and the fans has gone
There was a real togetherness yesterday
The atmosphere was simply incredible from start to finish
Also, never seen so many staying to the very end to clap the players and Ange
We need that atmosphere in every game though not just the big games
