Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Davies has been a steady player a good servant and ever professional just like Dier.

Think it’s a failure on the clubs part if either player gets significant minutes this season. It would show a failure to refresh the defence again. We need younger and better players. Both been here too long. The fact that Davies is probably our only LB is a concern as rest are more wingbacks.

Davies has done absolutely nothing wrong in his time here. Gets less crap than Dier but equally done absolutely nothing to warrant the negativity he gets IMO.
Agreed as I said a good servant to the club. Think it’s just that he and Dier being here still are the faces or symbols of the lack of refresh in our defence. The problem for me is we are moving towards another season with them still here. Their best days are behind them. Time to move on.

I don't lump him in with Sanchez and Dier though, they need to leave IMO, along with Tanga and Roden, but I would keep Davies for sure.

I see the doubters about our manager are surfacing, I freely admit I was pleased with our last 3 managers, I thought Santo had done a very good job at Wolves, Mourhino and Conte came with great reputations and none set the place alight with their brand of football. I don't think or expect we will win anything this season but I'm looking forward to more attacking style of football. If we aren't going to win a trophy I'd rather watch us try to win games than wait for our opponents lose them.
