Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Not sure if previously posted but a bit of our new gaffer in action just popped up on my YT recommended.
"Ball speed is very important" ..." pass it with purpose" glad to hear those words as we've been playing the slowest and most sideways football in the league for some time now.

If Ange keeps up with those idea in games I believed will see the see the wheat separate from the chaff rather quickly.

I love Ange already. Can we just make a deal with the board to always hire guys like him? With a clear philosophy and a clear communication in English? I know we have a lot of different nationalities, obviously, but hearing someone on the training field this loud and clear is like music to my ears.

I'm surprised he's 10 days in officially and a month or so unofficially and hasn't spoken to Harry yet. Would have thought he'd be picking up the phone ASAP but maybe Kane is on holidays or something. Didn't Nuno say he didn't speak to Kane for a number of weeks at the start of his tenure?

The guys in holiday so I suppose he has left him to enjoy his time off

Whats with the deep breaths before every sentence? I hope thats just the mic being sensitive as that could get annoying quickly.

I’d be surprised if he hasn’t been in touch with Kane at all but not so much if he hasn’t actually spoken with him.
A WhatsApp on joining (as was probably the case with all players) and a “enjoy your break, we’ll talk when you’re back” would be most likely imo.

It could be some nerves (who would relish the chance to sit in front of the English press?) and some people use these "strategic breaths" to refine what they're about to say. Not that he seems nervy or anything, definitely slightly guarded just by nature of being in a press conference. Despite that, seemed comfortable and said all the right things. Perfectly boring in that aspect, but he still managed to come off as someone who owns the position he's in and had some charm, so perhaps the press will take to him and not always try to throw him curveballs like they would with our previous managers (Mourinho obviously attracts traps and pitfalls; Ange is calmer and has less ego about him it seems).

Well to be fair the first minute or 2 its ridiculous loud, so yes that was the first thing i picked up on.

To be fair to him i sat and watched the whole thing which I couldn’t do with Poch and Conte as it was hard work trying to understand them.

Fair enough then , yes the mics are sensitive and maybe he needs to adjust his posistion but its the same for every team. The bigger problem ( imo) is that its sometimes harder to hear the questions from the press.

Always been a problem at spurs. Never understood why they can't give the journalists a mic or even use a boom.
