Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Left back is going to be interesting; Reguilon vs Udogie vs Sessegnon!

This squad is slowly reminding me of the squad in Redknapp's days wrt size and depth

Lo Celso, Ndombele, Gil + others from loan will be back as well. Those players will be like new players.

GK: Lloris, Forster, Vicario

RB: Royal, Spence, Porro

CB: Dier, Romero, Davies, Tanganga, Rodon, Sanchez

LB: Reguilon, Sessegnon, Udogie

CM / CDM: Lo Celso, Bissouma, Skipp, Bentacur, Ndombele, Papa Sarr, Hojbjerg

AM / WINGERS: Son, Gil, Kulusevski, Maddison, Perisic,

ST: Kane, Parrott, Scarlett, Richarlison

That CB position ... some work is needed there

Postecoglou needs a big chat with Ndombele. Give him the us against them talk about how he knows that people have been critical of him but that he can answer them by raising his level. Talk about how he, Postecoglou, has also often had people saying that he can’t do it but how he stood up against them and I’d proving otherwise. That life gives us a plate but that it doesn’t always put the things we want on it but instead we must make the effort to get those things and to make the most of what we’ve been given. We have gifts and it’s in how we utilise those that we can show appreciation. Fight now or regret later.

The dude won a major title last season and has wages of 200k a week, I don't think Tanguy's devestated how things have gone or regretting much at the minute.

If Ange wants him involved then great but if he foresees a player that he'll have to pull aside and give Disney pep talks to every other week to get him to run around a bit I don't see it happening myself. As always pre season + new manager is a chance to start fresh but my prediction would be another loan due to the crazy wages.

I love watching the nonchalant skill side of his game but think there's more chance of getting a tune out of GLC this season.

I don't expect anything from N'dombele, but can't help to be a little excited about the very theoretical prospect of a new manager being able to motivate him to match his effort with his talent. It will be very interesting to see how the players respond to a new manager with new methods; who will blossom and who won’t. I think there will be surprises, and hope N'dombele is one of them, because he has the talent to be one hell of a player. Won’t hold my breath though..

So who is not back to training yet? And when do they return?

Players who played in that recent internationals and the u21 competition break I believe, Udogie is expected back on the 12th of July according to the recent reports he wants to come back earlier so that may be the date.

Reasonable, interesting piece on the player needs below

Postecoglou wants at least five or six - with a goalkeeper, two centre-backs, a central attacking midfielder and, ideally, a young winger. Goalkeeper (Guglielmo Vicario) and attacking midfielder (Maddison) are already secured. Winger Manor Solomon is expected to sign a long-term deal later this week after leaving Shakhtar Donetsk.

Never say never to further additions but several players need to leave and that'll be the priority over the coming weeks.

Spurs are focusing on defenders in terms of incomings. Edmond Tapsoba from Bayer Leverkusen and Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg are of interest. Both have plenty of pace and are comfortable on the ball.

Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo is also being considered. Clement Lenglet, who spent last season on loan at Spurs, signing from Barcelona on a permanent deal for a nominal fee can't be completely ruled out.

Yeh thats a decent read, I am quietly optimistic for the season that we will see a new style and some good moments whilst the green shoots of progress are there. I used some ropey software to compile what I think the seasons starting 11 may look (if things happen of course and only for debate purposes) and if it was to look like this which would be a hybrid of the 4-2-3-1 / 4 - 3 -3 I think thats pretty strong TBH. With the depth from the bench hopefully also improving I don't think its bad at all. Alot to look forward to.
