It doesn't seem like qualifying for CL makes any difference in terms of who and how we target players or even possibly what we are able to offer them.

When you look at who we've signed so far it doesn't really feel like CL participation is much of a factor. They seem like players we could have signed anyway minus the MGW supposed clause.

Anyhoo, i thought it was an interesting angle and did make me think.

Looks that way but lets see our squad at the end of the window, there's still a month to go. Maybe Frank wants to see what he's working with first.

Who else if solomon and richarlison go? Kudus can play there. Johnson and kulu on the right.
We are starting to look a little thin though.

Depends on the shuffle i guess.

We are thin on LB, potentially AM (Maddison role) depending on plan for Deki use (and until he's fit), and most of us see need for a DM/#6.

Richi outgoing would need to be replaced/upgraded on.

Squad could probably do with another player than would walk into first 11 just to upgrade what we have (regardless of position)

We can only name 21 non-club-trained or U21 players. So it is basically two players per position.

Having e.g. 3 LWs means cutting corners elsewhere, like only having 1 LB
