Transfer thread

You can have more than 4 association trainer players. The 4 id the minimum required not the maximum

Yes, but they converge with the A-list. You can only name 4 as AT and the rest need to be put on the A-list which can only have 17 names in it. Our problem is an over-stocked A-list from what I could see,

A-list - Venom, Kinsky, Porro, Udogie, Romero, VDV, Dragusin, Danso, Bentancur, Bissouma, Gray, Sarr, Bergval, Kulu, Son, Richi, Tel

That bunch above is our A list…. And that is assuming we sell none of them and buy Tel (I think at least two of the above will be sold).

I'm assuming you have listed this season's A-list? It's a good reference point. I was mapping everyone that fell into that bucket for next season. Looks like we got some work to do to both create space and accommodate existing players. The killer for me is not being able to register U21's that haven't been registered with Spurs for 2 years. Gray and Bergval have been taking 2 slots. Now we have guys like Vuskovic in the same boat. Yang as well. Not looking good for Keeley as well.

My main concern is that clubs look they've begun talking and negotiating already.... I hope we don't leave it too late.
We have been the most proactive club in England over the last two seasons in terms of quantity and pace of signings, I imagine we intend to keep that up. You can't stop others doing what they do, I will leave that for others to stress over

we've paid a lot for young ones but not for quality experience. hopefully with the CL funds and lots of sales and loans, we can get immediately useable quality asap. i see liverpool is closing in on wirtz already.

No I agree, but we have moved quick to our targets for better or worse. Madders was linked one day, signed the next early that window, as was everyone else.

I agree with the sentiment though. Liverpool have always worked well, fair play to them, as Champions its easier now too.

Maybe we should try with a bid for Joao Palhinha seen as though he's not had the best season at Bayern.
If your aim is having to defend countless stupid free kicks, then he's the man.

Just no. The guy is too slow for the PL. He's just a massive walking free kick/yellow card/red card.

Delap for £30m is a no-brainer for me. With the added attraction now of CL football he'd be first on the list. Ederson from Atalanta would be next.
I did wonder if Ederson could be a goer again now we are back in the CL but I didn't realise Atalanta were 3rd this season.

Wasn't the Cardoso window Jun 30 - Jul 10?

I guess that decision point will be interesting. His stock is a lot higher now and I'm reading this morning that Simeone wants him.

Those two and a backup or even someone better than Maddison would be an excellent window for us, in my opinion. I wonder if we could expect to see some of Jamie Donley next season, but I reckon he's probably going out on loan again.

I think when you look at the lack of club trained, there will be a stronger argument to keep the best U21s that have been at the club for 2 years in the 1st team squad. Donley, Devine and Phillips just slot into List B and pad out the squad. It will be Vuskovic and Yang that are at risk because they haven't got 2 years tenure at the club. They may have to go on loan or not be named in the UEFA squad.

"I'll either need to gatecrash those meetings or be invited"

Ange in the Brighton presser when asked about Mathys Tel, talking generically about transfer conversations happening at Spurs.

Just me, or did anyone else get a sense of frustration in Ange's tone?

That player is Enzo Milot. We should be all over him with his release clause.
