The club will have little choice bit to buy someone now.

It took Maddison three months to return the last time this injury occurred, and you could argue that this injury may be one to far for him?

I don't think Grealish is anything like the playmaker some are making him out to be. I honestly wouldn't want him as I don't think he's what we need at all.

I don't think Levy/Lange/the transfer team will be in no man's land. We quite clearly wanted MGW, the signing of Palhinha makes a lot of sense IF we were already planning on getting another 10/playmaker type. Chances are we have several targets on the list that we wanted before Maddison's injury and will still want.

If the Maddison injury is a bad one it puts Frank in a somewhat tough spot tough. Will need another new signing to get going fairly quickly and where we were probably planning on some rotation between Maddison and a new player we'll be left lacking both an option and a quality player.

Hope to see an addition in that role fairly quickly now.

We have various formations that we can play with or without Maddison. However an exciting up and coming player would be a great addition.
 
According to Mr. Here We Go, Enzo Millot is off to Al Alhi in Saudi Arabia.

Since the MWG saga No 10 options are now dwindling. Given how serious the Maddison injury could be and Son now going with a replacement yet to be sorted, I see us struggling to meet our season targets - top 4 and winning cup or at least semis in the cups - owing to lack of creativity and limited fire power.

Irrespective of investment or not, the club needs to get busy and fast.

But it's only for the first 4 games until Kulu is back.

Equally we could continue playing Sarr there for now, like we have been doing in pre-season.

I would still sign someone for that role, but it's not complete crisis situation
