Delap off to Chelsea then.

Silly move for both parties, Chelsea need a more experienced proven striker. They already have Jackson and Nkuku for the upcomer type role. For Delap he needs regular minutes somewhere settled, could easily find himself out of the side for long periods.

What's wrong with Dibling? He's the most promising RWF in the country. Chris Waddle reincarnate.
Your views on players are so over the top its unreal. What are Diblings stats? 2 goals and 0 assists in 33 games and he is the most promising RWF in the country? You could stick Mikey Moore out on the wing for that amount of games and i guarantee he ends up with more goals and assists than that.

I think this is a bit of a stretch. We would be creaming ourselves if we had got Delap, he is an extremely talented player who has a whole PL season behind him and shown he can perform.

And as for the player, he will get plenty of game time - It's not prime Kane he was competing with, if clubs were offered the opportunity to take one of Nkunku,Jackson or Delap there would be a fair few choosing Delap as the CF they would want. On goals alone he scored more in the league than either of them two playing for Ipswich....

Chelsea could easily get Delap signed up and then blow big money on Osimhen or Gyokeres a few weeks later.
Funded when Mr Boehly decides to sell his kidneys to himself or some other totally-legal-and-above-board machination

Southampton barely got the ball outside their own penalty area all season. Watch him play though - he's that silky aggressive dribbling we've been lacking for years, and with proper decision making and end product. He's not ready to start for us, but a Moore for the other flank is probably a good comparison. It would be this summer's Gray or Bergvall signing
