Transfer thread

We could always sell him after the pre season ;)

If we're holding on to players merely because of their commercial value then I'm not sure that's conducive to us trying to win more trophies. In saying that we have plenty of space for players in our PL Squad so bringing in Sane and keeping Son is also possible.

I don't think Eze is the right type of player to play on the left for us, I think he would have to play through the middle and I'm not convinced he is massively better than Maddison (I'm not even convinced he is as good) to be paying £60m.

The attraction with KWP is solely that he would count as home grown and on a free so would not cost a transfer fee. We only really have Austin as a home grown over 21 player that we'd expect to be in our squad, that means we'll be three players short. KWP would allow us to add a player to our CL squad.

Cirkin would be better than KWP as a CT-ed option. He's much more physically suited to the EPL, and he's the side we need (Cirkin is LB, KWP is RB).

That is disappointing, I would rather we go full steam for Eze. He has a buyout clause of about £60m, and we know he is better than what we already have.
Ive not seen much of him since his days at city, but is he not the older head type player Ange was talking about?
Our front line is quite young other than Richi/Solanke/Son and you imagine at least one of those is going

A thought: Not EVERY good player has to be in both the PL and CL squads.

If we are overstocked in one area, say 3 left wingers, we can put 2 in the PL squad and 2 in the CL squad and it will all balance out with injuries etc.

So don't stress too much if we have an extra player or 2 that we will "struggle to fit into the CL squad" as it just means they can stay home more and remain fit.

GHod knows, we should expect a certain level of injury e.g. assume 5 or 10 players out at any one time. So whilst the squad might look bounteous on day 1, by week 12 it will look much skinnier.

Except when we get injuries, the player that could fill in won't be named in that squad. They'll only be named in the other squad.

I think you have to try and get everyone eligible for the PL squad first, and then make compromises on the UEFA squad by not naming a few. That makes sense because there are fewer games.

I think they are very different players. I think Eze would have to play more centrally for Spurs, probably in Maddison's role. I don't think there is a lot in it in terms of who is better out of Maddison and Eze (I think Maddison has better goal and assist numbers). Enzo Millot would be way better value than Eze to provide cover and competition for Maddison considering his release clause of under 20 million euros.

Solomon out and Tel in.
Son out and Sane in.
Bissouma out and Ricci in
Richarlison out and Delap in
Davies out and KWP in (advantageous for a club trained spot in our CL squad for zero transfer fee)
Hojbjerg out and Enzo Millot in

That would be a good summer for Spurs (and would probably be no more than £50m of net spend. With us still having several overseas spots available to fill if we wished to.
Dif you really.watch Sane last season? He was not special, not at all. Why would you think he us a good player to sign based on his recent form?

He may be an older head but his ability is and recent form is questionable. He is not the player he once was. Also, as bad as Son Sane only scored 2 more goals than him.
