Transfer Rumour Discussion Thread

Good post, seems to have a good knowledge of the intricacies of the club.

Heavy the stuff about Levy. He can be a very annoying chairman with the way he handles transfer deals at times, but I always believe he has the best interest of the club firmly in the forefront of his mind. Runs a very tight ship, even Redknapp couldn't make us implode financially, and that may be a first

and about Sousa. Well it was reported everywhere that he was at a Sweden match apparently watching Jonas Olssen. So if Sousa scouts teams we are playing, why was he watching Sweden??:-k

This. Some strange stuff in there. I think he got a bit excited since almost everyone is super-important, key, runs the club, is above AVB and has a huge input.

Ramsay helped to appoint AVB eh? All seems a bit illogical, but who knows. Was is supposedly written by Spooky, whoever that is?

No, not written by Spooky, but someone who comments on his blog... (Spooky was always a bit left field when he posted on GG in seasons past, had a major thing about stalking Daniel Levy!)... ITK name who posted was Look like Modric... a new one on me too
 
thought the whole piece sounded credible except this:

feels kinda "small time" for a guy who seems to be part of the big picture.

Yep, because he has that dual role as Youth and development, AND that AVB answers to him. (according to the article)
Hence, mysteries.
 
i think, with regards to Technical Tims role and AVB answering to him, that maybe what that means is that TT's job at the club is a long term role where he has more longevity than whoever the current head coach is and that 'elevates' him to a more senior position - rather than AVB having to report directly to Sherwood. maybe Sherwood would be AVBs go to if he wanted to know if certain players in the development squad were ready for the first team squad or whatever

AVB's mate(?) Jason Burt says we're "very very close" to a signing and he'll have something on it tonight in the Telegraph, I assume it's Paulinho.
 
Jason Burt has said that apparently at least one THFC signing is very close and he's written an article about it for tomorrow's Telegraph.
