Transfer Rumour Discussion Thread

Not saying it's what i hope for,
but if we're changing into a 433 unit with a right forward cutting inside on his left.
Then it would make sense to sell Lennon and sign Ince as Bale's backup (and heir?).

For a second there I thought you had written 'hair'.

To be honest I can't really see anyone paying £10m for him (Liverpool might be that departed but I don't see it). Maybe £8m. £10m might be what they're asking though... "He's at least 2/3s as good as Zaha" and all that.

My Blackpool supporting mate thinks (says that their fans think) that the fee could be as low as £6m. I could see a few loan deals being an attractive sweetener for them too.

Why not just use Townsend and save £6m or whatever it is Ince is supposed to cost.

I thought Townsend played on the right at QPR, so if he's thought to be good enough, he'd be Bale's backup.

If we're defo bringing in a wide forward as such if like see us bring that chap who ripped us to pieces from Basel salahn was it?

Mohamed Salah. Definitely liked the look of him.

Didn't his shooting/scoring stats make him seem like lennon? (if played higher up the pitch). No bad thing, but I thought he would be very frustrating in our team (shooting Bale amounts but without the insane quality which makes it OK with Bale). But a talent no doubt, would prefer someone who is already scoring more if we are talking £10M+ players as I think he would possibly be.

15 in 22 for Egypt though isn't to be sniffed at. Sure it's Egypt but it's still a pretty good record.

If Lennon leaves, someone would have to come in. Ince can cut inside from the right, or keep width on the left - same as Townsend, although they have different strenghts.
Can't look past that those in charge might already prepare for Bale to leave (in a year?).
Could be use for both Ince and Townsend. Or it could just be that Ince makes sense if he's cheaper than what used to be expected

Yeah that sounds much more realistic.

What if we sign Bernard as rumoured?

I'd be surprised if we was in for Ince, doesn't strike me as someone either Baldini or AVB would go for especially with AVB aware of what Townsend can do....

Im concerned with our apparent lack of interest in some midfield creativity

I concur...our midfield was flat this season...no imagination ...no thrust..no penatration..Vertongen has more creativity than the midfield. I like Dembele but he lacked insight at times..

Comment: Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in signing Sochaux defender Ryad Boudebouz.

Boudebouz has enjoyed an impressive season in France and has been attracting interest from all over Europe.

Bayer Leverkusen and Rubin Kazan are both considering making offers for the 23-year-old attacking midfielder.

But the two Premier League duo are interested in Boudebouz and could make a bid for a player whose contract expires at the end of next season according to talkSPORT.

Is he a defender or an attacking midfielder?

Attacking midfield/right wing. Must have been injured or turned to proper brick this last season. One goal in 17 league games.

yeah, I mean our defenders are dogbrick.

Boudabouz is not good enough

if we want an attacking mid of this type we should be all over Griezman at Sociedad
