Spence made Mbueno look weak. Actually made me think - we should recall Solomon. He has played better than Mbueno did today. Credit to Spence did everything with aplomb today.

Bentancur makes a difference. We need another, and Bissouma to be rotation and to fight for a place.

It was ugly. Winning ugly is an essential part of football.

With the ball we kept it well, including in some really tight areas. No silly risks.
Without the ball we kept good shape and forced Brentford to play where we wanted them to.
Really good commitment and bravery with lots of blocks.
A little bit of luck that they forgot their shooting boots.
More luck that they decided to play without a Keeper.

Solid and essential three points. Massive three after Everton and Wolves won.

Didn’t see most of the first 60 mins but very well done to Ange and the players. The pressure was huge and momentum against them and I had little faith they could get a win there. Very solid performance.

From what I saw Spence, Bentancur and Bissouma were very good. Spence’s history is a head scratcher. He looks a magnificent full back so cant understand why it’s taken this long. Suppose I don’t care either as long as he keeps playing like this.
