Timo Werner

It's a shame we sold Cain tbf.

Agreed with every point you have made in the post, I just wanted to make a lazybbiblical pun.

It's an interesting business of generating clicks / interest - If you were against Timo from the start and won't budge on that opinion despite what he offers, you'll no doubt be more likely to interact with media that claims we are looking to get rid, whether there's any credible source in the "article". I'm not sure what the best term for that is, it's not necessarily confirmation bias, maybe a feedback loop? I'm sure there's a better word for it.

Amen to that (and other biblical mentions)

Stayed with you?
Well
I was gonna mention many years hai in my single days I pulled a woman who looked like the singer (the bananarama one) and I thought I was well in
Then she turned round and decked another girl and ho spoke to me and got thrown out
I couldn’t work out at that moment if it would be a fun night or I’d die so I got my mates to cover my exit whilst she was waiting outside the club
The random and even weirder part was another mate of mine met her about a month later… went back to her and her husband was there. He did a runner too
I think it was a Gareth from the office moment without the sidecar
I had a lucky escape

That look on Gareth’s face as they ride off is Mackenzie Crooks greatest acting moment, it says everything and makes me laugh every time I see it.

Sounds like you had a lucky escape.

I think son is still injured
He has no extra gears currently
Perhaps. Though he's been getting a surprising number of minutes if playing while injured.

I agree he doesn't have the gears right now. I think having played so much is part of that. Think the plan was to be more careful with him, but injuries... Wouldn't be surprised if the plan was to start him on the bench vs Fulham with Solanke centrally and Werner on the left.

There is no way we don’t start him at home
I just don’t see any time where ange rests him from being a starter
I’d live to be wrong but Sonny indirectly has so much influence over what happens to this team

I think this is absolutely true. And when he's not putting away sitters (in one of his 'down' streaks) it makes things weirder...

The club, well this club, needs a talisman, a player who is it’s figurehead
He is that man currently and it’s not healthy if he isn’t what he was (and the team isn’t either now we play possession football)
Then add in the merchandise optics which are absolutely nuts when you walk in the club shop

On the Walker thing, he does this strange thing where he doesn't start sprinting straight away, takes a little hop and then catches up to the player.

Those days are gone, he just needs to gas it from the off and he'll cope much better. Don't know if that running style is ingrained in him now though.

I think the plan has been to use him even more sparingly than we have done (particularly in recent weeks).

But Odobert and Richarlison missing almost all of the first half of the season has made that impossible.

Maybe
I just think Ange will oaky him whenever he can even if he is playing poorly because of who he is
We have fans even now who say be can still get you a fail even after this shockingly bad misses because it’s Sonny

He certainly has subbed him earlier in games than what's been the norm earlier in his career.

If we had more fit options I think perhaps once or twice he wouldn't have started and perhaps one or twice more been subbed after around an hour.

Son is still a wonderful player when he has that spring in his step, when he can go though the gears with relative ease.

He can still get us out of a hole when he's not. But it's less likely to happen. Imo somewhat less likely to take his chances, but significantly less likely to get them (or enough of them).

When he's not playing with a spring in his step the difference between him and Werner overall I think is at most marginal. I would rather have a sometimes firing Son, sometimes Son not playing than Son playing a lot, but frequently him lacking energy.
