we buy 100 mil worth of players and then hand them to the youth academy coach with no prior first team experience to manage? its an extremely RISKY move.
its just too big too sudden a job for Tim. If he succeeds I don't think he'll be any different to Redknapp.
Seeing how Tim is going totally opposite to what AVB offers and how he manages his players, I suspect that Tim had a hand/role in AVB's departure. (See Stobart's tweets). I also suspect that Tim is going to favour the English over the foreigners. Yep Redknapp Mark II.
Blow me

He's walking on very thin ice, in my view. If he gets rid of Holtby, that ice will collapse.
Holtby not able to pass? What a joker.
Speaking of which, wtf happened to him? He was a regular on this board.
I want Sherwood gone. I'll always support Spurs but I'll never back Sherwood. He's not good enough, plays with naivety and hasn't achieved anything in management to justify the role that we have bestowed upon him.
Neither have any of Levy's managers.
He played Holtby against West Ham. People are reading way too much into this.

I'm not sure how you can establish this opinion after 2 games?
Also, surely as a Spurs fan u back the club no matter who the manager is
Staggering. When the news came up on the ticker I nearly choked.
We're Tottenham Hotspur, sure, not a mega club but certainly the 5th or 6th biggest club in the country. There is absolutely no way on planet earth we should be appointing an absolute rookie at such a pivotal time. It is a joke of a decision made by a joke of a man (Levy), who has been manipulated by Sherwood so blatantly I can't help but be amazed, given how shrewd Levy is meant to be.
Our fans, including myself have dished out thousands of pounds on tickets and season tickets this season yet for over half of it will be watching a side managed by someone with zero experience of managing a first team. Yeah AVB's side was boring as hell but at least there was that glimmer of hope there with him knowing that he had at least completed his ****ing badges!
Our players, many of whom are foreign and cost £10m+, how are they going to react to this? They have no reason to respect Sherwood cos he's achieved **** all. I mean, this guy although he has clearly coached the youths well is the same man who fielded an ineligible player in a NextGen tournament FFS! He just isn't likely to inspire these international footballers is he? (don't tell me he's motivated Adebayor, Adebayor has motived himself cos it's almost time for the transfer window to open).
Yes the football will be attacking but that doesn't mean it'll be fun to watch. Yesterday we were mostly **** against an understrength Southampton side, we barely strung three passes together but won due to a bit of luck and an on form striker doing his job for once. In Sherwood's other game we just got the ball out wide and pinged it in against West Ham hoping for the best before knackering ourselves out and losing to our rivals again.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Emirates Marketing Project, Chelsea, Everton and Man Utd fans will be ****ing loving this. Once again we are a laughing stock. They now have the top six positions wrapped up. There is no way on earth Sherwood will steer us to the top four so don't even mention it. He will just put as many attacking players on the pitch as possible and hope for the best.
The ONLY positive thing I can imagine comes out of this is we'll finally see our youngsters given a chance. But at the expense of loads of players on top dollar after we spent vast amounts on them this summer or the one before or the one before that.
I'll still go to the games and support the team and Sherwood because for me the man to blame is Levy, who has lost the plot.
The journey back to midtable mediocrity begins here boys, hold on tight...
As for why not, I've said some reasons. Other reasons include that players will respect him less than an established name, our profile is affected by appointing a manager that is not well known. There are far better candidates about than Sherwood. I think he was given the post as we needed someone interim, but Sherwood wanted full time or nothing apparently, so we were backed in to a corner.
