Why is it crucial? He's publicly put a player down, a figurehead of the club should not be doing that, simple. Whether he's caveat that with "at the moment" or not doesn't hold a great deal of weight with me. I'd also like to know how you feel about him describing our squad as "much of a muchness", saying "the jury's still out on Lamela" or saying "we can't compete technically with Liverpool" before playing them. These are not appropriate comments for the manager of a club to be making, whether you think they're true or not. It's one thing a Spurs fan posting that on glory glory and it's another the manager of the football club publically saying it. It's just downright unprofessional in my book and I don't see how those quotes help anyone other than the press for a juicy soundbite.
Sandro isn't entirely innocent but that is completely ott. All he said was that he's not injured and hope the team wins, that's pretty indirect. There's no need for Tim to steamroll in saying Sandro's not good enough to be in his team [at the moment] and all of the other stuff he said, it's just needlessly confrontational and unprofessional. It was Tim who decided to blow this up into something bigger, it was Tim who made a direct jibe at Sandro. Sandro hasn't said **** about the guy.
