Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

i don't get the sherwood hate either. i don't hate the man. i just hate the things he is doing to the players (destroying their confidence gradually), the team (going backwards in tactical discipline) and the club (happy to get all the credit, quick to assign blame).

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

So if it's not a simple game does that mean that Tim who has got results against everybody outside the top four bar Norwich, knows what he is doing? Including teams that super tactics DVD man could not manage results against.

Or is it actually a simple game and Tim is just doing as much as any yts dude would.... Which one is it because it can't be both.

Ps Tims gone in the summer. And I'm no Tim lover just don't like contradictions.

personally I think he's done the best he is capable of which when twinned with our squad has been enough on quite a few occasions

I agree. I think that in order to do worse (with a squad as good as ours) one would have to be deliberately destructive.

WHAAAAATTTT? Don't you know that their confidence was "destroyed" by the previous manager??

the team (going backwards in tactical discipline)
WHAAAAATTTT? Don't you know he has had NO TIME work on a strategy with the players because there's been "too many injures" and he's not had a chance to "mould the team with his own players"? Don't you know he took over a team "on it's knees"??

and the club (happy to get all the credit, quick to assign blame).

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

Just because you don't give a ****, doesn't mean others don't. What he said showed a serious lack of judgement. Let's hope that when you grow up, you never have to deal with someone in your family being disabled, you ignorant c unt. If Hoddle has nothing to do with Spurs, then why is he being referenced in this thread.

How do you know that I don't have a disabled relative or am disabled my self?

A stupid statement made by Hoddle over a decade ago when in charge of a different regime has absolutely nothing to do with TS using Spurs to promote himself.

Hopefully when you grow up you may realise that throwing insults around on a message board is the kind of thing children do!

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

that Hoddle situation was ridiculous, it had nothing to do with his capacity to do his job and we allow free speech in this country

all religions believe (or at least claim to) in some stupid ****, it's no reason not to employ someone

It also happened before we appointed him the first time, so isn't an issue re him caretakering for the last 5/6 games.

I am still a bit uncomfortable about it, but then I have a problem with all religions and their absence of reason.

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

I'm thinking, he has learnt valuable lessons from the games v the top 4 - again, won't help us, would expect a winning manager with experience would do that.

But we should win the next few, wet spam and allardyce his next obstacle to overcome ...

Working out what to do with this will be his next obstacle to overcome

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

I think Tim should be relived of his duties, but I still don't get all the hate. Hoddle, despite being a legend, said things in public, as the England Manager, which quite simply were, fcking offensive, and much much worse than anything TS has said publicly.

Don't blame Hoddle, blame religion. Pretty sure he didn't invent that ****

If you have family that are disabled and aren't offended, then it suggests you you would rather hero worship an ex-player at your families expense, shame on you. Equally, just because you may choose to not be offended, doesn't make it ok. I'll leave it at that.

What have Hoddles silly comments got to do with Tottenham Hotspur football club? People are having a go at Sherwood because he is once again acting like he knows more than someone of significant experience in football. FOOTBALL is what people are talking about. Sherwood could very well be a lovely guy, but his FOOTBALL management skills are questionable..

You are getting what's going on here totally wrong. Your post above suggests you think there's a strong pro-Sherwood lobby out there willing to trot out any excuse to defend him. You are totally wrong about that.

Rather, what you are seeing is a strong anti-hysterical mob lobby. Because as the last couple of pages have shown, a hysterical mob is what we have now. Pitchforks and torches.

Tim Sherwood meant pretty much zero to me before a couple of months ago. He was a guy who won the league with Blackburn in the 90's, and is now coaching at Spurs in some capacity or other. Literally knew nothing else about the guy and couldn't have cared less about him one way or the other. If I'd never heard his name again I wouldn't even have noticed. For that matter, if I don't hear his name again after Monday night I probably wouldn't notice that either.

I suspect 90%+ of Spurs fans are much the same. And yet you seem to think that from that has sprung this virulent pro-Sherwood grouping? True believers in the cult of Timbo willing to say anything to defend him?

Well, you are totally wrong about that.

People are actually responding to stuff like this bollox complaint about him not taking notes in the stand at Anfield. Sorry, we could be coached by Crusty the Clown or Bill Shankly and that complaint would be full depart in either instance. Full, 100% depart. Or, these complaints about our high line against Liverpool when, in fact, we didn't play a high line against fukking Liverpool! Again, I don't care who's the coach or what the tactics are, if people insist on talking such total bollox some of us will call them out on it. The fact it happens to be Sherwood is pretty much beside the point.

You couldn't be more correct. I find it curious as to why no Spurs fan I know in person has such dislike for Sherwood or talks such utter and ubsubstantiated nonsense about him as some internet warriors on here...

Do they not remember him as a player? He was a horrible gutless player who minced through a few seasons with us. It's a bit like in 10 years time Ashley Cole or Charlie Adam rocking up as our manager.

He was also very active in undermining Hoddle as manager. For all the talk of the body language of some of our players, remember Timmeh actually said this in 2003: "The players turn up to training, put in minimal amount of effort they have to. No one pushes themselves for him"
