Sherwood may have a future in management, who knows, could benefit by being a number 2 for a bit, I'm sure he'll be able to handle that as all he'll have to do is shuffle across a bit

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

Tim Sherwood is continuing his scorched earth policy as his time as Spurs manager draws closer to its end.

The Rebel Without A Cause coach moved to deflect criticism of his side and his management for their epic failure in the big games this season, the latest of which came at Anfield last weekend.

Putting this season’s beatings into historical perspective, Sherwood put it bluntly: ‘Tottenham don’t beat the top teams, this is not a new thing’.]

He’s got a point, has Tim.

The thrashings are new-ish though, eh.

I want this cretin out of my club now he fails to take any responsibility blaming it all on the players. At least with AVB it was "us" with this piece of work it is always "them" the players.

For once I have to admit Gutter Boy was right from the beginning

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

I think Tim should be relived of his duties, but I still don't get all the hate. Hoddle, despite being a legend, said things in public, as the England Manager, which quite simply were, fcking offensive, and much much worse than anything TS has said publicly.

Yeah but Tim is embarrassing our club whereas Hoddle is a legend at this club.

I think he's a bit of a victim of his own playing career.

Firstly Shearer and Sutton won him the Premiership, leading to a massively inflated sense of self worth.

Secondly, you know how good managers tailor their preparation to their players? So if you were coaching Ginola, Maldini and Henry (spit) you'd explain the whole game plan and how their part fits in, hoping that the extra knowledge can bring something even greater out of them. But if you're managing Sherwood or Joe Cole you get them fired up and tell them to shuffle across a bit.

So now, that's what he thinks management is because his managers didn't want to confuse him with all those tactics.

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

No, im just in a stupid mood.

Look, I get what Hoddle said was wrong in every day society and obviously is significant in peoples opinions of him as a person.

Tim Sherwood in a footballing sense (which is what this board is about), is clueless, arrogant, and quite frankly an embarrassment. We've returned to taking the **** out of ourselves. Its not something we enjoy, and quite frankly, the guy needs to pipe down when it comes to talking about one of the clubs heroes, given his own tentative position.

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

Not to mention he questions Hoddles knowledge of the current game, even though hes managed only 15 senior games himself. Idiot.

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

Guy definitely seems on a career suicide run now (he's seen the end coming?)

I was concerned that Levy might actually keep him for next season, but TS seems quite intent to talk himself out of a job.

I can't see how the club would think any of what he is saying is advised or good for the image/PR of the club.

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

All that has gone on since he was sacked confirms what we were all saying - if you give the spurs job to an inexperienced manager it's only going to end one way.

There is an enormous weight of pressure on any spurs manager built up by our recent good league campaigns. Throw an inexperienced manager into the mix and it's just a disaster waiting to happen. I honestly don't think TS thought It would be that hard.

Classic case of ego setting himself up for a fall. If you're an inexperienced manager you will be judged on results a nd style of play, as well as your general demeanour and behaviour.

TS has failed at every level for me at proving he is ready for a top job like this- though that's not to say some years down the line he might not make a decent manager.

He hasn't endeared himself to the fans or the players it's like he us he'll bent on some power trip.

Bring back BMJ Levy, you owe us fans someone who will love our club like we love it. And I'm sure he could do something with this lot.

BMJ gave us the greatest feeling about the club since I've been a fan.

But even I admit, we outgrew him, his career hasn't done well since he left us.

The only manager in the last 10 years that would deserve another shot is Harry, but his baggage and age probably makes that a poor option as well.

Onwards and upwards (hopefully)

The infamous SAS. Or as Tim would have you believe Sherwood and Someone else.

I'm not sure this is Sherwood cracking under the pressure. This is just Sherwood being Sherwood. He will say outspoken things when the team is doing poorly and everyone will say he is cracking. And he will say the same sorts of things when we are winning and some will interpret it as this maverick genius lyricising about his football genius.

He doesn't apply a filter to his brain for better or worse, and rides the waves of emotion.

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

Tbh the one thing I'm starting to warm to about Timmeh is how completely insane he's becoming. It's like instead of committing suicide by taking a bag of sleeping pills, he's going for 'death by cop' by trying to take down the prime minister.

You do get the feeling that if the Benfica game happened next week and the same situation arose, he would definitely stick the nut on Jesus.

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

'Arise sir Timothy of Sherwood'

I have to concede that post Chelsea his behaviour is more and more odd & erratic.

Dont get sitting in the stand all game though...first 20-30 mins fine...if its because he cant control himself anymore then thats not good...

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach

I was going to post how I have some sympathy for him in regard to having to face a team day in day out that believe you won't be around come summer,

But as I was about to post I remembered how Benitez was even captioned "interim manager" on the TV and what he managed to do in his short time at *spit*

So **** that.

walob, i couldn't give a **** about what Hoddle said about disabled people and quite frankly I don't understand what that has to do with spurs?

Sherwood is in the redknapp mould and is using spurs to try and promote his image for personal gain. Thankfully it's not working and he's making a bigger prick of himself with every interview, get this **** out of our club Levy ffs

So if it's not a simple game does that mean that Tim who has got results against everybody outside the top four bar Norwich, knows what he is doing? Including teams that super tactics DVD man could not manage results against.

Or is it actually a simple game and Tim is just doing as much as any yts dude would.... Which one is it because it can't be both.

Ps Tims gone in the summer. And I'm no Tim lover just don't like contradictions.

Just because you don't give a ****, doesn't mean others don't. What he said showed a serious lack of judgement. Let's hope that when you grow up, you never have to deal with someone in your family being disabled, you ignorant c unt. If Hoddle has nothing to do with Spurs, then why is he being referenced in this thread.
