There was a young lad who was bezzie mates with one of our youth, Donley or Devine. Think he went to Bournemouth, what happened to him? I assume he'll score against us tomorrow, now I've mentioned him.
Also I think Gutterboy wanted to sign some lad from Sheffield like Hurst or something?

What others?
Bastoni and one other in Italy, they're doing well I think.
I saw Tah and Tapsoba and Kim Min Jae play for Bayern last night, all looked to be having fun.

Think he has had some injuries but looks decent the times I have seen him. Mostly as a sub

David Brooks was the last player I've been keen on from a Sheffield club. Or maybe Ahmedhodzic?

Alex Scott was the last young championship player I had a big thing for.

I've played with David Hirst before and no way would I want anything to do with him or his family, he's quite a nasty piece of work.

If we had that kind of money to spend on top of what we already spent this summer I would rather have put that towards one really good player personally. Or signed a much better player than Werner.

I don't think we had that kind of extra money to spend. Assuming we didn't would you rather have signed those experienced players than Odobert and Gray?

2-3 more signings with no outgoings would have left our squad bloated imo. Meant that players like Bergvall and Gray would be fairly consistently left out of PL match day squads outside of injury crisis situations. Would we even have been able to attract them as signings given that plan?

Our problem isn't that we have too few players imo. The problem is that some of those squad players aren't yet (seen to be) ready for real involvement in the PL. The fix is to get them ready for that, even if that takes a bit of time.

Can’t disagree with it but not knowing how much money we had to spend it’s hard to say
 
I don't if we ever enquired about a loan for Sancho or Sterling or anyone else from the other "Big Clubs", but something tells me that they wouldn't loan to us. It's interesting that they don't seem to worry about selling and loaning to each other, just never us. Is it the Levy factor or do they just want to keep us in our box? Last one I can remember was Fraizer Campbell due to the Berbatov transfer ffs.

Think it's more to do with either the transfer fee, wages or both tends to be out of our range or at least what we are willing to pay for that player. Eg Sterling I imagine is on a shed load at the Goons, for being a squad player whereas the sort of wage he is on we would only pay for one of our best first teamers (if we would pay it at all).....
