The transfer thread

Don't think a LB/LCB hybrid that's good enough is likely, just not a lot of them out there.

For me new full back, either side, primarily left sided. DM/6. Creative and dribbly winger. All more important than another/new CB. 6/DM would top my list if a player of sufficient quality can be signed.
David Alaba

You have listed a few players as I don't live in England I don't get to see games from the lower leagues. My question is what sort of transfer fees would clubs be asking is it Gray numbers or did we pay extra because he stood out above the rest
Probably difficult to buy players in the January window from clubs chasing promotion, though buying and loaning back to them can work.

My guess is that 10m - 20m would get any of them.

The only people that will be happy about that would be the London food bank charities.

It's odd that if a player tries to do something good they get brick for it.

I guess it's easy to bitch and moan about do-gooders (the complete and utter bastards) than it is to actually try to make a positive change in the world.

Non starter with Rashford due to wages, especially whilst Son is around in that position getting paid a lot whilst not doing a whole lot.

Cheeky bid for Antonee Robinson from Fulham to give Udogie some competition?

Hopefully Pochettino would put in a good word for us!
Excellent player, which is why a cheeky bid wouldn't get him. I think it only big money would persuade Fulham to sell and we still have 5 or 6 players to buy so I'm not sure we have the funds for somebody like Robinson.

Would you put in a good word if you were him?

I love spurs but even I would have second thoughts about signing for us.
So you don’t think that Ryan Sessegnon will help tap him up for us then :grimacing:

Perhaps we can tempt them with a p/x for Spence & Reguilon.

I think a £40m punt on Rashford, might be worth ago, can get rid of Timo, and cover upfront aswell.
I'm with you on that - if he can get his mojo back.
I know people will immediately say "no way...", but he had a different name I dare say the view would be different. He's a good player. His finishing from distance would be very useful for us.

Rashford is too hot & cold for me - was pushing him as a target a couple of years back but at this point I don't think anyone will get a consistent return out of him
That is a concern.
I don't think it's clear cut, but it is a risk.
A consistent Rashford would be at Barcelona

At 27 it's unlikely he nails down the consistency that would make him a worthwhile signing in his next move - at his best sure the type of player we'd want but more likely he'd just be another wishy washy player holding us back

I think that's where the risk is - with the right manager and possibly just with a move, he might become consistent again. He used to be. It's hard to really judge anyone that's been at Man U in the past 4 years.

Er, no. Rashford is one of the most overrated players in the league. It's just that if you want to You can't not laugh at ManU rewarding his inadequacies with massive contracts.
