If we've already had El Tel, would this one be Il Tel?
It's hard to telIf we've already had El Tel, would this one be Il Tel?
Thought it was the other way around, we were asking for him as part of the Kane deal but they laughed us off at the time. Guess a change of manager though and Tell’s face doesn’t fit anymore.Only reason I had is they tried to chuck him in the Kane deal.
It's hard to tel
Think this will go the same way as Kolo Muani - there are bigger clubs and/or clubs in top European competition who would want him, we just aren't up there in terms of attractiveness right now.....
He could be Michael Ricketts Mk 2 for all we knowHe's scored the same number of goals in those fewer starts. If we were trying to buy him off Villa right now he's gonna cost us at least the 77m they are selling him for so I don't think the fee is outrageous considering his quality and all of the hype that goes along with him and plays a big part in any fee received.
Me neither. But I now know that he's the dog's gonads/next Messi, and will blame Levy and his lack of ambition when we don't sign him.Had literally never heard of this Tel fella last week
1 more than Solanke is true but Solanke is the better all round player imo and more provenTrue. He has scored 10 this season, mostly playing as a sub. 1 morethan Solanke. If he goes to Saudi though thats him forgotten.
Called this yesterday
Sure and I'm not suggesting we should buy him just saying I can understand his pricing. He's much younger than Solanke and has the hype behind him and the goals. He's never going to be cheap at this point. He could be Michael Ricketts Mk 2 for all we know
For that amount of money I’d want a much more proven guy
You also realise Solanke only really had one proven season right? He could be Michael Ricketts Mk 2 for all we know

One proven season? Are you having a laugh? He's got over 150 appearances in the premier league, and played for England in 2017!You also realise Solanke only really had one proven season right?

And only one season in the Premier League with more than 6 goals he was the definition of unproven with only one top season in the bank. One proven season? Are you having a laugh? He's got over 150 appearances in the premier league, and played for England in 2017!
I doubt they are. Kane was always just their stop-gap to bridge between Lewandowski and him. I'm sure they'd only consider a dry loan.
Indeed. We asked about him as part of the Kane deal and got a massive 'no'...

One prolific season is entirely different than "proven". He's a seasoned PL pro. Claiming he's only had one proven season is completely wide of the mark.I think he ref to the fact over 4 seasons he had 10 goals in total (or summin like that)
