The Official 2014/15 Premier League Thread

Could they win their 5th game in a row after winning only 4 of their first 29?

14 Saudi Sportswashing Machine 35
15 Hull City 34
16 Leicester City 34
17 Aston Villa 32
18 Sunderland 30
19 Queens Park Rangers 27
20 Burnley 26

Sunderland have a previously postponed game against Arsenal to come.

Chelsea, the worst footballing team to win the Prem?

depends how you define footballing?

and are you falling into the trap of distinguishing between Division 1 and the PL or do you mean the worst team to ever win the English League title?

Pearson is the biggest clam in football. Guy is so arrogant and not even a good coach.

just seen the clip on bbc online. whilst i do agree in thinking that pearson was probably out of line here, i think in general terms, journalists should be willing/prepared to take "abuse" of this type. in any other walk of life, the kind of abuse journos give to managers/players would not be tolerated under any circumstance. the kind of abuse they give is often inhumane, and i have no doubt managers/players are massively stressed out, depressed and saddened by it. if we're all honest, we probably know that calling someone a "wally with the brolly" or "turnip head" in the public domain really should not be allowed. however, journalists do this all the time to manager, and often go one step further and call for them to be jobless and unable to provide for themselves and their families too. so when managers like pearson go on rants like this, i can actually understand where hes coming from. hes just unleashing all that built up frustration now that he is the one in the position of power.

The reason I think he is a clam is not just the rant. I think he is a horrible fudger and he has been a tit all season.

I really want Leicester to pull off the great escape as it has been a fantastic run and would be nice if they could complete the job. I'd be happy to see Pearson relegated as he is ... just unpleasant, without any hint of humour or humility, and without the talent you have to respect.

i was just talking about managers' rights to have a go at journalists in general. I'm with you in thinking that pearson is probably a bit of a tit, despite the public apology for the rant today.

I agree largely, but from what I gather the guy Pearson had a go at is more or less a rookie; not really been into journalism too long and trying to get a foothold in what is surely one of the most difficult industries to progress in. Pearson is a bully, no nicer way to say it than that.

There was something distasteful about Pearson when I saw his interviews in the championship, the delayed responses like he's a thinking man or something and general horrible demeanor. His behavior this year has just confirmed what I thought, I'd love it if He gets relegated, nothing against Leicester.
