The Official 2014/15 Premier League Thread

There was something distasteful about Pearson when I saw his interviews in the championship, the delayed responses like he's a thinking man or something and general horrible demeanor. His behavior this year has just confirmed what I thought, I'd love it if He gets relegated, nothing against Leicester.

i agree, he's a horrible cnut, he is a decent manager though i think, Leicester's points tally doesn't match the performances I've seen

Saudi Sportswashing Machine in freefall.

Its like watching a carcrash. I honestly thought they would be safe with 35pts and their remaining fixtures. I think they are fortunate they have West Ham to play last game, might just be enough to save them

Would only be their 8th loss in a row.

Not sure why Saudi Sportswashing Machine fans hated him, but it was really stupid to force Pardew to leave when they didn't have a proper replacement. Pardew always had a decent record at all his clubs. And he has proven it again by improving Palace greatly since joining them. In contrast, Saudi Sportswashing Machine has gone from bad to worse since Pardew left. But don't think they will get relegated as there are other teams far worse than them.

What's interesting is that their record of 1 win and 8 losses in their last 9 is exactly the same as they managed against the same opponents under Pardew last season. They finished last season with a run of 4 wins and 11 losses.

Ashley is in save money mode. I guess he thought they had enough points and he could avoid compensating another club. He may yet turn out to be right, but it seems a costly risk.

Villa - Everton could be a close affair. Hopefully Sunderland or QPR can spring a surprise. That would benefit us as well.

What am I saying? There's a huge gap in quality between the two sides.

On paper this one should be closer, especially considering Liverpool's form.

Well, they're certainly going for it.

Ward-Prowse sent off, Sunderland with a second penalty goal (neither by Defoe).

QPR and Burnley to be relegated next weekend.

I'd love it if Saudi Sportswashing Machine went down

absolutely love it

I'd say that is very much on, just a shame Sunderland still have to visit Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton. That home game against Leicester will be a cracker.

13 West Bromwich Albion 37
14 Aston Villa 35
15 Saudi Sportswashing Machine 35
16 Hull City 34
17 Leicester City 34
18 Sunderland 33

What happened to Defoe ? At first, he seemed like started well with Sunderland but after that has gone missing.

Saudi Sportswashing Machine definitely in it now, only two points above Sunderland as it stands. It will be a crucial win for Villa, but there lead is now only a goal. Another and they might be back in the relegations game (depending on total goals).

I suspect there will be many twists in the next week making this moment by moment analysis rather moot, but it's fun.

The whole Sunderland team went missing for a while, until they got their usual win over Saudi Sportswashing Machine.
