Barcelona s football has in many ways become a tad predictable. Almost all of their goals are idetical through balls, sliced from out wide or Messi shots from far. I find that exhaustive over time as efficient as it is.

Madrid on the other hand use rW power and speed which i quite enjoy of late

Where is he going to fit in?

Can play on the left, can play behind a striker and can quite possibly play on the right in their formation. And as a striker of course.

Can't imagine him not being an upgrade on Walcott, and I think he will score more than Gervinho quite easily.

I don't understand why some people [not a personal dig at anyone!] are so focused on keeping things in one thread... large threads like the Arsenal one go off on all sorts of tangents and often contain pages and pages of internet-bickering; IMO it's nice to have different threads for more specific things.

Completely agree with you; I've never understood the fury some people seem to get into about threads they deem unimportant. If it's a topic that nobody wants to discuss then it'll drop off the front page pretty quickly. Unless of course you post a reply about how it's not important... :-k

I'm concerned about this... I've not followed his (poor) league form, I only really saw him at International level and he looked awesome

Full of running but also intelligent and a good finisher (unlike Gervinho and Walcott)

Honestly/obviously I don't know if he'll do the biz at l'Arse, but this is a very good, big name player that MIGHT do great things for them...

I would prefer it if they were signing someone like Carlos Vela... this signing smacks of proper intent and wedge.

16 in 20 this season, although just 15 in the previous 59. I watched their pre season game against Arsenal and Podolski looked quicker and stronger than before, he'll score goals for them no doubt but if it's to replace Van Persie then it's fine with me.

For 100k a week id fudging play for the Arse

fudge it - 5k a week.

Infact 2k a week. Anything under and they can fudge off.
