I argued this, all alone, against The GG Pitchfork Massive months and months ago, and was hunted down with burning crosses.

Funny how NONE of them are still trying to explain to me how f#cking good he is anymore...

You weren't quite alone mate, i'd say 90%.

I've argued that he was massively overrated for yonks.

Suarez is obviously very talented.

He's only been in England for a season, and he's been playing in a team that has been struggling and in transition for just about all that time. Writing him off as "average" at this time is akin to those describing Evra or Vidic as poor during their first year in England.

He has been Liverpool's best attacking player this season, and they are still a pretty good side, challenging at least for 5th, possibly still CL. He was the best attacking player Liverpool had today and they played Arsenal completely off the park for 45 minutes.

I'm glad he's not able to convert his chances, cause if he did he would be a top class player. And I hope he continues to not convert his chances for as long as he's in the Premier League.

Watched the West Brom game today and they were the better team by a very wide margin. They really were good and Hodgson looks to have done a cracking job there - 9th spot and 5 points away from the 40 pt. safety mark at this stage of the season is a great result from them.

As for Chelsea, they looked absolutely lost and clueless. I couldn't make out what they were even trying to do, never mind what they were actually doing. I have been thinking the AVB stories have been mostly media hype and that he'd be given time to mould his own team, but having watched them today I'd really worry for his future. He does look to have lost his players and the tactics clearly aren't working, so I'm not sure what he's left with.

A word about Drogba - he's been Chelsea's standout playing in recent weeks, and he was fantastic again today in effort and product.

Villas-Boas is a dead man walking, I reckon. Surely only a matter of time before Abramovich spits his dummy again.

AVB will be fired at end of season regardless of top four, FA Cup or CL progression (Unless he wins the fudgein thing)

Weekend not going well for me....

Bayern Munich lost AT HOME
Juventus drew AT HOME
Spurs?

He's been average for 1yr and 2 months now. He is a striker, which means he's actually been tinkle poor.

If he was a midfielder, Id think he was better.....but he's not. His job is to score goals, and he is very average at finishing at this level. Defoe is described as average, yet he's scored 8 in 8 for a team sitting in 3rd, who were talked up as title challengers up until three weeks ago. So what?

You admit he's "not able to convert his chances", but dont think he's an average striker?

Anyone just see MOTD? Interviewer says to Mancini your 5 points clear and he interrupts and says '2 points because they will win tomorrow'

What a mug.

I see it more as playing mind games with old red nose, but I can see how you could take it as an insult to us.

He has played quite a few games as a supporting striker behind Carroll as well.

Strikers should be judged by more than just their goals.

Haven't you complained in the past that people are too results oriented?

Do you disagree that he has been Liverpool's best attacking player this season? How can the best attacking player for the 7th best team in the league be tinkle poor? Or even average?

So far in the league he's scored 10 in 33, Diego Forlan scored 10 in 63 in total for Manu, Adebayor scored 12 in 42 in his first two seasons at Arsenal, Tevez scored 7 in 26 in his season at West Ham (all stats from Wikipedia). All of them turned out to be good players. Looking only at the goal return for one season, especially with that being the first season for that player in England isn't a great indication for how good that player is.

I can actually say that Adebayor also struggles to convert his chances, still very far from average.

If we are not winning the league title somehow, hope ManCity will win it. They have been the most consistent team this season. Besides, ManCity winning the title will rub off on other teams, especially us, to try to win the title.

@ brainclipse

He is Liverpools best attacking option against the likes of Kuyt and Carroll. Like I said, he is not a midfielder, where I think he would actually be better off. He runs around around alot, makes a nuisance of himself, but by and large has very poor end product, both with assists and shots.

He has been tinkle poor from a strikers point of view, scoring 6 goals from 86 shots. Thats below average imo.

I dont rate his hold up play, vision, heading, long range, or one on one abilities as anything other than average. He has good technical skills, and is skillful on the ball.

But I think he simply only ok at everything, rather than brilliant at something in particular. He hasnt a single attribute which he is excellent at, and can do time and again to always be a threat with.....he's just quite good at a few things, but his lack of excelling at any of his traits is why I find him average.

I went through all this before, its just my opinion, and he's done nothing to change my mind in the 5 months since this came up. Same old Suarez, running around alot, diving and not scoring goals basically. His lack of discipline affects his game, which to me is amateurish.

Not sure what Forlan, or Ade has got to do with it?

Last note is that you seem to think average is some kind of insult. I see as the norm for a footballer.
