Mourinho slams Spurs

MOURINHO'S VIEW

Chelsea 0-0 Spurs
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho criticised Tottenham for their approach after the two clubs drew 0-0.
He said: "As we say in Portugal, they brought the bus and they left the bus in front of the goal.

"I would have been frustrated if I had been a supporter who paid ?ú50 to watch this game because Spurs came to defend.

"I'm really frustrated because there was only one team looking to win, they only came not to concede - it's not fair for the football we played."

Mourinho added: "They fell as if they were dead and for five minutes each time, five more minutes when they change a player and they did this all the time.

"We played some fantastic football and we created lots of chances.

"I have no complaints with my players' performance.

"This is a difficult league with everyone losing games. Maybe even Tottenham will lose a game defending with 11 players."

I remember that, that was rich. ;)

Chichester - Chas n Dave split up a few years back so one of them could focus on painting his wagon/cart things or somesuch... but they got back together

Chas n Dave are awesome - I've got their Best Of - always raises a smile :)

The Goons at work have been saying "wait for Wheelchair to come back, he's our saviour" and it appears they might be right, after he scored at the weekend.

Jurgen that comment about a shoe bomber is crap and racist I think - unless it is hilarious and I missed the hilarity

It was a flippant comment, and was definitely not meant to be racist.

With the way we played on Saturday and the fact that they will have to attack us -leaving themselves very open to a counter-attack, is there anyone that wonders whether we could actually give them a royal hiding?

(Hopes post doesn't cause the Earth to slip and bite us on bum...8-[)

This is true, a draw is a far better result for us than it is for them... Hopefully Lennon and Bale are fit and play a blinder...

I would happily take a draw. Neutralising the teams around us when we play them is fine by me. But that said, we absolutely have the ability to get into their defence. If we can get after them and score early they are flaky enough to capitulate. However, this is a NLD so any result other than a loss I will happily take.

A draw would be fine. Ten points ahead of them, with twelve games to play. Great position. But a win....thirteen points ahead of them with 12 games to play.

If Uncle Mike is reading this, see, this is the problem with making a string of predictions in a row; you need them all to come true, else you end up looking even more like an arse than you already did. :D

'The Guardian are reporting he would prefer to join Spurs?... WTF?!...'

'yeah spuds can pay 40m for hazard

OH GIVE ME A BREAK

they will can buy when they sell modric and bale maybe or one of them.'

'Won't happen guys.'

'As if Eden Hazard would go to Spurs. '

'What a complete disaster would that be.

The biggest talent of Belgian football would go to...

******* TOTTENHAM.
That's disgusting.'

My GHod their tears would taste nice... This must happen!

It's another match. We are better than them. We should go into the game knowing that. And as such, we should win. Because we are better. That's not arrogance, it's fact. The table doesn't lie. We simply need to concentrate and do our jobs. End of.

Good post.

If we nullify Van Persie then that's pretty much all they have from an attacking standpoint. Up until Saudi Sportswashing Machine I think our form had dipped a little, maybe believing our own hype too much, but that last performance was fantastic. If we come close to that we'll win. A draw is the minimum we should be looking for.

Underestimation; we do it. Often.

Oxlade-Chamberlain's been in impressive form for them, and Walcott seems to cause us problems for some reason or other. Ramsey scored against Sunderland as well. I agree, they're not as threatening as some of the other teams we've faced so far, but they're far from toothless.

Still, I think it's clobberin' time.

Some gooners convincing themselves that Hazard not worth it because of how he kittens himself in media for a transfers. A few others think he is speaking publically so he can get a move to them. Either way I hope we get him, and I look forward to the Emirates making noise for a change as their heads collectively explode at the news.

By my reckoning would we not have the our "fittest" squad of the season thus far by the time the Goon game rolls round? I'm thinking only THudd will be the only one not ready, in theory?

VDV, King, Krunchie Bong Head, Defoe, Sandro, Kaboul, Lennon... all those doubts and/or recent injuries are all likely to be available in some shape or form I should think. (Touches wood.. yowzers!)

We won't underestimate them, not a problem there, but we need to make sure we continue to not underestimate ourselves IMHO...we are a much better side and should be able to contain their threats by posing many of our own. I see us very much like a vicious wolf pack in this one, and I want us to go for the throat over and over again, circle them, probe them and then take them down...I thoroughly expect a win.

"As if he would go to Spurs....." who are 10pts above arse and Chelsea.

Time to stop living in the past gooners

The fans of Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal are in total denial over us and how good we are now...

Its a one off apparently and when Harry goes all of our players will leave and we will be bankrupt hahahah

Apparently it's a one-off because... errr ... our keeper's old and umm.. our striker's on loan. Everyone knows it's absolutely impossible to sign replacements.

Its a one off with Liverpool even though this will be the 3rd season in a row weve finished above them haha

[h=2]KEVIN PRINCE BOATENG last night warned Arsene Wenger: You don't have what it takes on the big occasions.[/h] In an exclusive SunSport interview, the AC Milan superstar vowed to knock Arsenal out of the Champions League.
And his verdict on Wenger's team echoed the taunts of Arsenal's own fans when the Frenchman substituted Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with Andrey Arshavin during the home loss to Manchester United last month.
Arsenal fly out to Milan today to face the Italian giants at the San Siro tomorrow — and Boateng did not mince his words in explaining why Arsenal fail to win trophies.
The midfielder, who spent two years at Spurs from 2007, said: "I'm not scared of Arsenal.
"The problem with Arsenal is one day they play amazing football and then they play really badly.
"In the end they don't have balance. They either play unbelievable football or they don't know what they're doing.
"It comes down to inexperience. Arsenal don't know what you have to do to win titles — they're always close but they break down. All their players are young, of course they're hungry but they don't know how to get this target.
"Without the experience it's difficult — to take the last step, experience is what you need. To win the league or to reach the semi-final or final of the Champions League you need experience.
"There's always something missing at Arsenal.
"That bit is the experience — we have so much of that at Milan and I think that's what they need."
Ironically, the former Tottenham midfielder echoed the demands of many Arsenal fans.
Boateng sat back in the chic cream sofa at the Italian champions' Milanello training ground and added: "These days you must spend money if you really want to have success.
"At the end it doesn't matter if you spend maybe ?ú20million too much — because you're trying to win cups. And if you want to win cups you have to bring in fantastic players.
"Arsenal do have fantastic young players but, of course, if you bring two or three superstars it's a lot different.
"Even the other teams get scared. If you see the opponent has all these big names you say to yourself: 'Oh my GHod, who are we playing against today?'
"They have fantastic young footballers, they play like Barcelona — one-touch football and movement off the ball — but at the end it's always the weakness of inexperience."
So far this has been Arsenal's worst season in the 15 years Wenger has been in charge.
They have recently steadied the ship with two league wins after three losses on the bounce but it is that inconsistency that Boateng believes will prove decisive in their matches with Milan.
He admitted the only concern for the Italian giants is that Arsenal see the Champions League as the way out of the mire and might hit top form tomorrow night.
He added: "The problem when you have teams that are having their worst season is that they just wait for this one game to come out of the bulls**t. For them to win in Milan will get them out of the bulls**t.
"That's what we have to be aware of because there is a team coming with fantastic young footballers.
"OK, they're not having the best time but there's always one game that turns the page over so they're going to try to do everything to win."
Milan have also had a topsy-turvy season but they are currently top of the table — though Juventus have two games in hand and are just two points adrift.
Boateng insisted that crashing out against his old club Tottenham at this stage of the competition last year is enough to motivate Milan's star-studded squad led by Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho.
The seven-time European Cup winners faced current holders Barcelona in the group stage.
After a 2-2 draw at the Nou Camp they lost 2-1 at the San Siro but Boateng insisted they showed they can match the Catalan giants and challenge for the trophy this year.
He added: "Of course what happened last year against Tottenham will motivate us.
"We want to prove we are among the best in Europe. The name of Milan is big.
"It's time to show we're still in the top five teams in the world and the Arsenal game comes along at a perfect time.
"When we played Barcelona this season everybody saw we can do battle with them.

"At home both sides had chances to win but they took theirs."
Milan have yet to hit top form this season but their win at Udinese on Saturday allowed them to go top of Serie A and proved they are coming into form at the right time.
Boateng concluded: "We just have to get hungry again and to be aggressive.
"This is the only thing that's important because in terms of the players and the quality we have we can go far.
"I don't want to say we're going to win this or that but with the team we have we can go far."

Its a one off because Liverpool spent 100M, which means they are better, and arsenal were good 8-10yrs ago
