Africa Cup of Nations 2012
Zambia won the African Cup of nations for the first time in their history on the 12th of February 2012. After a goal less draw with the Ivory Coast, Zambia went on to win the penalty shootout 8-7. In a hilarious twist, it was Arsenal's Gervinho who missed the decisive penalty. Some have criticised his technique, stating that next time he should "mind the gap."

I've traveled round a bit of Zambia and this really is an amazing David v Goliath football story. Lusaka their capital city is a very poor place, I can't imagine they have much in the way of facilities for their footballers.
