The Goon Thread

arsenal are just off form and lacking confidence. i suspect also that the players are taking the vibes frrom their manager cause you can literally see it. he is not comfortable, not composed during games, very agitated, blaming everyone else in public which would be a sign of him blaming players in the dressing room, hands in his face alot, worried...etc etc etc. players tend to feed off the kind of manager they have ..and wenger doesnt look larger than life anymore

also , what people say about him not really willing to change is starting to really be an issue, with henry here he had a chance to play henry in his more familiar role...instaed he's stuck him out wide where henry has to defend , for an ageing man thats not the best idea. get him central or working off the channels which is what he's best suited for .......no ned to drop Van P into the wings yet..have VP play the cesc role or VDv role , he would be great there IMO...or even play 442!!!!...but no, the man will live and die hard by a system that has historcally been proven to work rather than change things up and doing whats necessary to get results? ...not good

also player are openly showing discontent....van persie did it and then last night i saw Oxlade chamberlain do it also.....

i'm hoping , though wont hold my breath, that arsenal and wenger are seriously considering parting ways from their current relationship. as much as people want wenger gone i think he is the life blood of that club.....losing him i think would be the REAL nail in the coffin....they are certain to lose Van P (no one runs down their contract without a hint of being at the negotiating table unless they are seriously considering elsewhere)

Apart from you know who. Shall we have van Persie off them for a bit of Campbell retribution?

Do you honestly believe their current squad has the ability to make up a 12 point deficit on us?

There is confidence and getting ahead of ourselves. Surely you have suffered through enough pain with Spurs to know its too early to start crowing. Im confident it will happen, but im not shoving the potential down anyones throat until its a certainty. I still remember lasagnagate and them pipping us on the last day.

I know what you mean, mate but if we fcuk it up from here then I don't know when else would be possible

We need a better name for the day though, one that's 'clean" and can be posted everywhere, preferably with a modicum of humour/relevance in it.

The Arse are arseholes every day of the season and non-season, and regardless of league position, or comparison to ours.

Lets see how things stand after the next seven games,( Liverpool (A) -> Chelsea (A) ) I reckon 11 out of 21 points would be a good haul from that run.

I have to say, Henry's has been a f#cking huge success. A Messiah, like Keegan and King Kenny. What a signing.

If he scores against us they will all think its been worth it. I remember when they won the league at the lane and he said we were sad for celebrating the equaliser when arse had still won the league. Well i will not mind if he scores against us if they finish in 7th.

I get the distinct feeling that the arrival of henry did more damage than good to the team's morale, a little bit like saying "you lot are so poor we ahve to get the old guys back", must've made RVP feel really good.

Van Pervie's still their numero uno though. With Gervinho and Chamakh in Africa and Park being dog brick they needed someone to sit on the bench.

All the trouble they went through stealing Park away from Lille this summer and all they've got is ZERO chance of getting any players from them in the foreseeable future.

They have had their fun taking the tinkle out us when they are in the CL and we are in the UEFA/Europa please please let us get the chance to do the same.

Even better would be Saudi Sportswashing Machine finishing 4th and Chelski missing out as well!

I'm not laughing any more. It's going to take a fantastic run of consecutive winning games for Arsenal and a complete capitulation from Spurs to overcome a 13 point deficit.
Tomorrow: We win against Bolton. 10 points.

This weekend: We beat Blackburn and they lose to Liverpool. 7 points.

February 11: We beat Sunderland and Saudi Sportswashing Machine nicks a draw. 5 points. How's it look now?

February 26: We win the derby. 2 points. How's it look now?

March 3-4: We beat Liverpool, they lose to United. Bingo, we lead by 1 point.

March 10-12: They lose to Everton, we beat Saudi Sportswashing Machine. Us by 4.

March 17: We beat Everton, they beat Stoke. Us by 4.

March 24: We beat Villa, they lose at Chelsea. Us by 7.

March 31-April 1: We beat QPR, they beat Swansea. Us by 7.

April 7: We beat Emirates Marketing Project at home, they get only a draw at Sunderland. Us by 9.

April 9: This could be a banana peel game for us, at Wolves. But it could also be one for The Scum, as they host surprsing Norwich. Us by 9.

April 14: We beat Wigan, they beat Bolton. Us by 9.

April 21: We beat Chelsea at home (why not, we beat them on the road and we'll be healthier than we were then), they only get a draw at QPR. Us by 10, and there's 9 points left to be won. Happy St. Totteringham's Day.

April 28: We may only get a draw at Stoke, and they'll beat Blackburn -- but you never know, Blackburn won at United. Us by 10.

May 5: We beat Norwich, and they lose at Villa. Us by 13.

May 13: Season finale, we win at West Brom, they win home to Fulham. Us by 13.

We finish 3rd, and don't need a qualifying round for the Champions League. They finish 7th, and Harry and all their macaron fans say, "Wha happened?"

I fudging hate Arsenal so much, the pleasure being 12 points above them gives me is indescribable. Let's finish the job off and come 3rd or higher now lads...

If things end up how they are now I may have to go to the Emirates blasting out the CL music while burning an Arsenal shirt (fake obviously, can't be giving money to that brickhole of a club) before doing a massive dump on the head of Thierry Henry's statue and wiping my arse with the charred remains of their bricky badge.

It's just banter. Why you all so scared? If we blow it then we blow it and they will laud it over us, but while we can why not take the tinkle. Banter is half the fun of football for me

Snip

Nice to see his master plan fall at the first hurdle.

Wenger KnowsBest @wengerknowsbest

Was the referee at fault last night? I believe no, but the performance of the crossbar and post was unacceptable.
