With some of this stupid money being spent on average players, I kind of hope that something happens to crater income for football clubs (eg like the Bosman rule threatened to). Some clubs would be truly screwed with the stupid money they're spending. You can hvae Sissoko for £35m, or Wanyama, Janssen and our new French-friend for similar money. The Pogba deal is even more nuts - decent enough player but for the money which they're talking about, he needs to be winning them titles single-handedly similar to how someone like Ronaldo or Messi can
 
But why does pogba need to be winning titles single handedly?

Nothing to do with him what price Man U are paying for him.

All it means is that Messi just became more expensive
