The "DM" thread

Double pivot? Frank is probably more flexible than we think. But having two players who can either attack or sit, is optimal for me. MGW for me would fit the role. Bentancur maybe the other first choice this season.

Hard to know how Frank will set us up. No easy for him with too many options. Simpler when you have less to work with often!

Agree. If we got Palhinha he would clearly be the DM and his partner would get more heavily marked.
But if we have a double pivot of 2 capable players, neither can be targeted in particular.

PS I just watched the whole Reading game back. Bergvall lost the ball in silly areas a few times, and Frank will definitely have noted that down.
We can't afford for Bergvall (or Biss or whoever) to start losing the ball around our box.

Id start the season with Bentancur and Bergvall as our double pivot. With the expectation Gray might have unseated Bentancur by Christmas

Id definitely play MGW further forward, have him competing with Kulu for the 10

He was obviously confused. He'll get used to not being around their box when we're defending under this new crazy manager
