Tom Carroll played 82 mins for QPR in their 1-0 win against Birmingham.

Nice to see Harry play him immediately after joining the club.

Have high hopes for this kid.
 
Wow smith being subbed because the Millwall fans were trying to beat him up and throwing stuff at his head.

Bit over the top i know he was on loan at Millwall last season but he is hardly a Millwall legend, that club really does have some utter scum following them.

See redknapp is talking about going after kane, said he tried to get him before the transfer deadline, sounds like he wants a loan deal.

I would be all for it not sure if he would get much game time, i have seen little things in Kane's game for england and us in the last few weeks that say to me he is making an improvement in his game. Whether it is enough to be good enough for us i have my doubts, but he seems to be more direct in his running.

Maybe kane will be like a rickie lambert in that he will take 10 years to get the confidence and experince to make good on his potential. At the moment i thin he is a championship player. But who knows if the coaches see skill and movement in him, maybe it is just games he needs to get better.

I think a loan move to QPR would be good for Kane. Most of their other strikers are crocks, so he'd get chances.

If reports about Ade are true that leaves Soldado and JD as our only 2 proper strikers. If Harry had to go anywhere I would love QPR but I think for insurance purposes he should stay.

Anyone else a bit miffed with this UEFA Youth competition that has taken over the previous NextGen series. So instead of supporting the teams that have helped support that previous competition (Liverpool, Villa and us) they only open it up to Champions League 32, thus making sure that those that players at Youth level will be more interested in Champions League clubs because of this competition than those chasing. How is this right. Its bad enough the top players prefer Champions League regulars.

I think its bang out of order. But doesn't surprise me.

It stinks to high heaven but is a totally expected move from UEFA, who want to control every aspect of European Football.

Instead of having a competition for clubs which invest their time and effort in developing youth football, like the NextGen Series was, we now have a competition where participation is determined by how successful the first team happens to be without any regard to the quality of their Academy set-ups.

QPR won 1-0 away. They are hard to beat like we were in the latter half of the season HR took over but can't score. Carroll not really mentioned.

Our U21s or Spurs XI are playing Brighton & Hove Albion in a behind closed doors friendly this afternoon.

No team news as yet (as it could well effect the Villa game tonight) but Bentaleb has scored one of Tottenham's goals, so I doubt he'll be involved tonight.

Nabil Bentaleb struck early in the first half as our Spurs XI side edged past their Brighton and Hove Albion counterparts by the only goal of the game in a friendly at Hotspur Way this afternoon (Tuesday, September 24).

The midfielder converted the first clear-cut chance of the match in the 16th minute which proved to be the winner, despite both sides creating plenty of chances throughout. We had the lion’s share of possession but in the end, were thankful to a string of late saves from goalkeeper Jordan Archer to secure the win.

The visitors fielded four players who have featured for the Seagulls’ first team including the vastly experienced Adam El Abd and Lewis Dunk, but we grabbed an early advantage when Bentaleb broke through a couple of tackles on the edge of the area and smashed home a left-footed angled drive from 15 yards out.

The same player then saw an effort deflected for a corner on the half hour, while Laste Dombaxe fired straight at Brighton keeper Christian Walton from the resulting set-piece.

Brighton finished the first half on top, Vitalijs Maksimenko bringing a smart save from Archer from close range while George Barker drilled over from a free-kick. Solly March also saw an effort deflected over and from the corner, Al Abd headed back across goal for Brennan dingdongenson, but Archer was there again to deny him.

Substitute Shaq Coulthirst tested Walton with a low drive on 54 minutes and we went close to doubling the lead on 72 minutes, when Aaron McEneff won possession and found Kenny McEvoy out wide on the right, the winger’s great cross met with a diving header from Cameron Lancaster but he sent the ball just over the bar.

Lancaster then brought a fine save out of Walton with a rasping drive that the keeper had to tip over, before Brighton mounted a late rally that so nearly paid dividends.

Three minutes from time Barker curled a right-foot shot over, and shortly after substitute Robin Deen looked set to score but Grant Ward’s superb block sent the ball looping up and Archer had to tip it wide. From the corner, Maksimenko had a free header eight yards out but was denied by our Scottish Under-21 international, who was there again in the dying seconds, this time to save from dingdongenson and preserve our clean sheet.

I see mason did not play again for swindon, i feel sorry for this guy because he plays so well for a few games and looks like he will make the break through then he gets injured.
