Harry stuff. Was told Harry and Levy relationship has been strained for some time (most of last season) and Levy had contingencies in place, firstly for court case and then expected departure for England. Levy tinkled off about not getting third and now in a quandary. With one year left on his contract was trying to come to a mutual agreement and Harry's lawyers and agents now involved. Levy recognises the importance of getting rid of deadwood and improving the squad, but does not want Harry to spend if he is off in a year or less. Accepted Scotty was a good move, but not so happy about Saha and Nelson and that in general we have moved from having one of the youngest squads to having one of the oldest. Levy wants a return to DOF and may use this to drive Harry out. Not confirmed , but Rodgers was my contact's bet.
 
They will be allowed to sell I think. Portsmouth did that to cover running expenses. Depends on whether they're allowed free transfers/loans, otherwise they'll need to promote some youth.
 
They wouldn't liquidate without at least trying to shift a couple. You'd think so anyway.

If no buyer steps forward that's willing to pay off the debt they'll have to start a new club and work their way through the league. Fiorentina came back after 2 seasons, but that was due to some shifty reorganizing of the league and they skipped one division.

Not really because transfer fees can be divided over years not all counted in one year.

Example:

Hazards full ?ú30m price tag will not show on Chelsea's accounts in full for one year, it will be ?ú10m expenditure every year for 3 years. So buying Hazard has not used a third of their revenues this year, if it is 'hundreds of millions of pounds' like they claim!
