If the Danny Rose loan rumours are true I think that is good news for Townsend and deserved. He has really looked sharp this preseason and I think could be a nice option for cover for Azza and Bale. Also I am hoping we don't loan out or sell Naughton we left ourselves short there end of last season and he is very capable at both LB and RB.

Agree on both counts. Naughton being able to cover both is a massive bonus just in case Fryers isnt a decent enough LB back-up.
Townsend just need to cut out a few of the stopovers, the odd one here and there is fine, but sometimes I feel in his eagerness, he does a few too many

Tancredi Palmeri @tancredipalmeri

Robin Van Persie informed Juventus via a phone talk that negotiations between him and Manchester United are on advanced stage

I'd be a touch p#ssed off with Lennon being sold, unless we have an upgrade planned. Thought he looked really sharp on Sunday too, plus if would be another homegrown off the books.
Surely we need to be hanging on to our better British players

I'd be sad to see him go but I suppose he might be one of the players we could shift quite easily for good money. People aren't exactly banging down our door to sign Jenas and Bentley.

Definitely he always is looking to take on players which is a good attribute but also when playing at PL level often times you must keep it simple, if he can learn that balance think we have a nice little player on his hands. I have a feeling he will have a breakout season akin to Livermore last year. He will get chances with the injury history of Bale and Lennon.

Younes Kaboul insists there is little chance of him heading for the exits at Tottenham, with the club ready to take on a new challenge.

Harry Redknapp's White Hart Lane reign came to an end earlier this summer, paving the way for former Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas to secure a return to English football management.

His arrival has offered a clean slate to all of those on Spurs' books, and the squad are looking forward to making a fresh start.

Kaboul intends to form part of those plans, as he is tied to a long-term contract.

Reports had suggested that he could be among those looking to move on following Spurs' failure to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
The France international claims to feel settled in his current surroundings, though, and admits he would be very surprised if a transfer was put in place.

"Could missing out on the Champions League see me move? It would be very difficult for me to do so," Kaboul told L'Equipe.

Happy

"I have four years remaining on my contract at Tottenham and, more importantly, I am happy here, and in England.

"There is a new challenge here and a new coach who has been working very well.

"He has his views on how he wants us to play and considering the players we have here, I am sure it will work."

Kaboul has also revealed that he has spoken to reported Tottenham target Hugo Lloris about a move to England.

On the Lyon goalkeeper, he added: "I have had a phone call with Hugo Lloris. We talked about Tottenham.

"He will make his choice. He deserves to be playing in a great league."

hmmmmm maybe i was wrong.

He's been stating a lot of things recently and it's a fine of mixture of opinions, what's in the newspapers and good, old fashioned flimflam.

You mean the bap bap Americano guy that claimed it was in reference to Togos Emmanuel Adebayor?

all i remember is the Blue and Yellow - apparently it was Blue - Ade and Yellow - Damiao (as everyone seemed to think at the time, as well as any other of the million + combinations it could have been)
