I think he fits the bill perfectly:

On 10 February 2011, Kuqi joined Premier League side Saudi Sportswashing Machine for the remainder of the season. He was given the number 42 shirt and made his debut against former club Blackburn Rovers on 12 February 2011 coming on in the 90th minute in a goalless draw. Saudi Sportswashing Machine. He was released on 25 May 2011 after making six appearances, all as a substitute, without scoring.

Thought Heskey joined Blackpool?

No.

The 34-year-old is still without a club after leaving Aston Villa at the end of his contract last month, but is hopeful he can strike a deal to remain in the top fight.

Heskey has had offers from a plethora of Championship sides, and has held talks with Ipswich, Hull City and Blackpool over a contract, but his wage demands for dropping down a division have put off interested parties.

However, the powerful frontman is hopeful of winning a contract in the Premier League, after re-joining former club Wigan for training in a bid to boost his fitness.

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez has already ruled out offering Heskey a contract, although he is said to have impressed the Spaniard with his attitude in training.

Heskey scored 15 goals in 82 matches for Wigan during a three-year spell at the club from 2006 to 2009.

He also has interest from Norwich and newly promoted Southampton, who are both considering a move for the player, but are yet to firm that up with an offer.

Heskey, who has 62 caps but only 7 goals for England during an 11-year international career, will considering retiring if he fails to land a contract this summer.

Moura isn't necessarily someone ManU NEEDED, it was just now or never if they wanted to sign him.

Personally I don't think they were ever in for him, just trying to dupe their fans into thinking the money is there.

Being a **** or time to panic?

So outgoings.... We're not going to cry over a lot of them.. But Lennon? Who would you choose as a replacement?

If the Danny Rose loan rumours are true I think that is good news for Townsend and deserved. He has really looked sharp this preseason and I think could be a nice option for cover for Azza and Bale. Also I am hoping we don't loan out or sell Naughton we left ourselves short there end of last season and he is very capable at both LB and RB.

Not sure I agree

To my mind there are official bids - ones which are either rejected or accepted - the basis on which a club gives permission to the buying club to proceed forward with discussing personal terms with the player, etc.

Similar to putting in an offer in writing as the seller to the buyer when purchasing a house. He can either reject it or accept it. If it's the former you can negotiate but an official offer is always in writing and is contractually binding should he accept it

In that instance I agree, although I'm not sure a football deal will work that way, but as I say most of it is how I think it works, who knows.

I'd be a touch p#ssed off with Lennon being sold, unless we have an upgrade planned. Thought he looked really sharp on Sunday too, plus if would be another homegrown off the books.
Surely we need to be hanging on to our better British players

Source; Not really, been waiting for big boys to finish shopping and Olympics complicates things a little.

Maybe for the next window we could have 'Transfer Bingo' when every time one of these cliches is used we cross it off the list. The winner gets a years supply of ITK to spread on the garden.
