But now JJ seems to have a firm opinion on every single transfer rumour, implying not only Spurs insider information, but information on the other clubs' positions and what the players want. He seems better informed on Spurs transfers than 'Arry was.

I'm sorry that so big a deal is being made of this whole insult debate. My initial response to kd wasn't so much a complaint about having been offended but rather a complaint about his inability or reluctance to respond by constructing a valid argument.
Of course, "deluded" barely registers on the insult richter scale. And I'm perfectly confident enough in my own knowledge, reasoning and articulation to be able to dismiss such a slight with a casual flick of the hand. But the point that I'm trying to get at is that an adversarial, mocking, cynical, contrarian style seems to be the default position for some. And it just seems so unnecessary. We are all Spurs fans, after all. We're supposed to be on the same side. Couldn't we at least start debates from a position of mutual respect rather than blundering straight in with words and comments that are likely to rile or offend?

Fact is we all sign in several times a day to see if there is any itk and atm these are the guys who are providing this.
Having a rant about their info is futile and deluded as it is fuelling our addicition - wanting to know who Spurs will buy before it happens.
