Yes

Its quite interesting to see us being linked with all these attacking central midfielders, who could all easily play VDVs role.

And combined with the rumours of intetest from Hamburg and Schalke, I can see it happen.

VDV has often talked about how he loved playing at Hamburg - and Schalke has CL-footie next season.

i do....it could be that privately he has told the club that he would be open to a move back to Germany because iirc Sylvie works out there for German tv, near Schalke, and VDV would like to be closer to her....cannot blame the bugger

Yup, He doesn't really fit into a 4-3-3 in either the midfield or attack, so if we can get 10-13 mil for him and bring in Sig for 8...then we've done great business and got a player that suits our playing style rather than one that doesn't.
